Fuck. I'm curious but I'm not gonna click that link, haven't played AK ever since they stopped the ability to purchase it, because I'm worried that MegaPatch™ will require you to start your game over and I've already done a ton of stuff. Very Happy

Finished the story. Took me 29 hours according to steam. Brilliant game shit port. Really hope you don't have to do all the riddler crap for the extra bit.

On first look the Riddler "crap" seems as great as ever (except Origins). So stopping playing for now instead of just rushing the story through the technical disaster was the best decision for me Smile

Yeah, it's the best Riddler implementation so far, it's good that they halved the collectibles stuff (240 to collect or so, I think Riddler already got mad I got like 20% in the first 12 hours). Really dig the interaction and puzzles with Catwoman as well.

Yeah, the few bits I played already seemed more dynamic and with much better flow than in the previous games.

The riddler missions were great. I just mean the 240 riddles. I can't be arsed to do that.

I'm talking about the whole Riddler thing. Solving the ? puzzles has been amongst the best gameplay bits in the series (again, except in Origins, there were no puzzles, just lame suitcases). And part of what made this game one of the very few in which I care for "completionism".

Glad you enjoy them! Calling them crap before was harsh I admit. Personally I thought the rest of the game was better than the collectible stuff. Quality over quantity and all that. Why have 240 tiny puzzles when you could have like 30-40 more extensive ones? I'm fine with games having lots of collectibles for those who enjoy that but they shouldn't be tied to other parts of the game. I mean imagine if you had to complete all the question marks in Witcher 3 in order to complete a sizable quest.

67.6 MB update downloading on Steam now.

Quote:

Rocksteady is leading our team of developers and partners as we work on the PC performance issues that players have been encountering. The work is significant and while we are making good progress on improving performance, it will take some time to ensure that we get the right fixes in place.

Below is the list of the key areas where we are dedicating our resources to improve the experience for our loyal fans:

- Support for frame rates above 30FPS in the graphics settings menu

- Fix for low resolution texture bug

- Improve overall performance and framerate hitches

- Add more options to the graphics settings menu

- Improvements to hard drive streaming and hitches

- Address full screen rendering bug on gaming laptop

- Improvements to system memory and VRAM usage

- NVIDIA SLI bug fixes

- Enabling AMD Crossfire

- NVIDIA and AMD updated drivers

While we work on improving performance, we will also continue to make interim patches available to address issues for those still playing the game on PC. The first patch is being released now and the updates include:

- Fixed a crash that was happening for some users when exiting the game

- Fixed a bug which disabled rain effects and ambient occlusion. We are actively looking into fixing other bugs to improve this further

- Corrected an issue that was causing Steam to re-download the game when verifying the integrity of the game cache through the Steam client

- Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash when turning off Motion Blur in BmSystemSettings.ini. A future patch will enable this in the graphics settings menu

We would like to thank our fans for their patience and invaluable feedback. We will continue to monitor and listen for any additional issues.

Fixes a few of the problems but not the most important ones. The wait continues

That I understand. I meant that there is something post story which requires a certain amount of most wanted missions being completed. I think you don't have to do them all though.

I was hoping SLI would be fixed in the first patch. But AO and rain textures seem to be working now at least.

Glad to see they are releasing these interim patches for those of us that kept the game. I really thought they would hold off on releasing any patches for at least a month.

TBH, this patch is welcome and slightly unexpected.

It also shows how amateur the mistakes were, after all, they were 'fixed' in just a couple of days - and these fixes are probably nothing more than .ini tweaks.

However, its a step in the right direction. Which is more than can be said for other pubilishers.

Patch list sounds what PC version should be even at alpha status. All in all any patch is welcomed regardless of what they fix as long as they keep making the game what it should have been in the first place.

I think the patch improved other graphics stuff as well, I've noticed steam and smoke where there wasn't any before and there is a reduction in specular aliasing. And although the stuttering is still present I'm getting noticeably better performance at 1440p, like someone else mentioned the memory leak seems to be gone as well.
