From what I can gather, she didn't quit voluntarily, it seems like she was "removed" -- either way, the whole thing is pathetic and just exemplifies the shitty nature of Reddit on the whole.

It's already going nowhere, the "protest" lasted all of what? An hour? Doors are open. Reddit Le Le Moderators Le Le Le couldn't handle not being the centre of attention, so their spines folded.

They're a bunch of pussies too, the Admins probably raised their hands and the Mods cowered in fear of being sacked as well.
besides, if the higher ups wanted to, they can just open the subs.
and when one Mod falls then all of them will do too.

Just my opinion, which I stated in here before..how did reddit become the "front page of the internet' to start with?
Other than a random AMA of someone id like to see (which I just watch the youtube video of it) and the random now and then google search result that takes me to a reddit post of relevant info, I cant stand using reddit.
The layout is horrible to me, the thread display is like trying to look thru an appendix listing for a subject, most the post are just 4chan "with manners" vibe, and any subreddit I find that makes me think "ah finally a use for reddit for me maybe" turns out to be for 99 posts of junk, 1 post thats useful. The rest all are people having discussions that wander off into some tangent.
How did it get so big, and so powerful, to the point where any of this recent stuff matters? Like if a mod here shutdown a forum section, it wouldn't be all over the net and 'e-news' sites.

The quality is low in most subreddits. The r/funny subreddit wasn't funny AT ALL, I got annoyed that people were upvoting some of that weak stuff. Same for r/creepy and a couple of others.
I had a couple of legit posts of mine deleted, then I thought what else is being deleted? I don't want to discuss in such an environment, so stopped worrying about news so much. One of my favourite passtimes, FPH got banned because it grew absolutely HUGE and they couldn't ignore it like they do with some other disgusting necrophiliac/gory/racist shit in there.

Obviously it's a message board type thing, but i can't really understand it. Of course, I've never really looked at it, but then again, I don't think I want to.
