reached heat level 4 with the porsche i got from beating a rival, forgot which one got the pink slip. the pursuit lasted about 12 mins, but on level 4 i had 18 undercover cops chasing me, 1 helicopter, road blocks with spike traps every other block...too bad they busted me, i tried to evade a rode block between two cars, then i saw there is the spike trap and tried to evade that one, the result was i crash up front against the wall and about 20 undercover cars crashed into me, no escape :/

i had 5 heat on like #16 on the challenge series, never passed it...ive tried about 10 times
the cops drive corvettes when you have a heat level of 5, at least thats all i saw, i got busted cuz i hit a spike strip seconds later
i can get past the 2 spike strips (needed to pass #16) but i cant escape

they already drive corvettes on level 4. try to stay in front of the cops and hit everything you see, especially the pursuit-breakers, traffic, signs, toll booths etc. just don't hit walls  i had success very often when i entered the golf course lol. just drive around the course for a while, hitting the cops which will disable their cars after a few hits and then quickly exit the golf course and turn at every street to get them confused

There's a lot of chrome colors under "Custom" in the paint department. Just play and it will be unlocked on #10 or #9 on the BL.. By the way, when I got chased on level 4 heat, the cops had undercover GTOs, not corvettes as someone said earlier on...

There's a lot of chrome colors under "Custom" in the paint department. Just play and it will be unlocked on #10 or #9 on the BL.. By the way, when I got chased on level 4 heat, the cops had undercover GTOs, not corvettes as someone said earlier on... |

Yeah, and when I think about it, the cops on level 3/4 look more like Monaro VXRs than GTOs, not really sure about which one. But it's one of those two.. And a quick question for you; after which blacklist racer can I advance to level 5 heat?

ok cool. I just think most of the normal paint is kinda dull looking. The could have had a few brighter colors especially for the rims. But the chrome looks the best, ill use that when i unlock it.

Has anyone found a fix for the blocky shadows?
I notice that the shadows are not blocky in the opening few races (ie, the intro races). but once u get into free roam mode, it becomes very blocky.
why?

HI!
I have problem with videos and the intro in the game (not only in this one). They are very slow (1-2fps or slower) and i don't know what to do. When i'm in the game and racing i don't have problems, i can play well (50-60fps), i have problems only with videos. I have new drivers and new divx, xvid codecs. PLs help!

1) Make a new folder and name it NFSMW_DVD
2) Copy cd4 to this folder, then cd3, cd2, cd1 (in that order, overwrite everything)
4) Edit common_filelist.txt:
1,1,Support\EA Help\*.* /s
1,1,Support\European Help Files\*.* /s
1,1,Support\*.*
1,1,eauninstall.exe
1,1,server.dll
1,1,server.cfg
1,1,speed.exe
1,1,shell_inst.exe
