“Narrated by one of the most popular british actors Sean Bean, Kholat is an exploration adventure game with elements of horror, inspired by true event known as Dyatlov Pass incident – mysterious death of nine Russian hikers, that led to countless, unconfirmed hypotheses. Player will dive directly into boundless scenery of inhospitable Ural Mountains, with task to find out what really happened. In the course of events you may approach even more question marks.”
“Dyatlov Pass incident was a real story that happened in winter of 1959. Nine skilled alpinists went for a trip to the northern part of Ural Mountains, which ended fatally. Bodies of expedition’s crew were found scattered on slope of Kholat Syakhl.”
“Russian investigators closed the case stating that ‘a compelling unknown force’ had caused the deaths.”
Btw guys we are already playing this game in Bulgaria, thx to the developer. They supplied an early build of the game for one TV/Twitch show. It's every friday - from 8PM to 4AM (Bulgarian time). You can join there to watch if you are interested. I can give you links for the channel if somebody wants. Game looks stunning.
I want to know how an unknown indie developer got Sean Bean to be in their game.
actors are like whores. show them enough money, you can get them to do anything.
Well that's what I was wondering about, how they got enough money to hire him. But upon doing a little more research it appears they're the publisher of 200+ games in Poland. I thought they were nobodies since Steam only shows one game from them.
Our Polish friends here might now more about the devs. The game has some high production values, the music is astonishing too. I haven't followed the news about UE4 but I didn't expect it to look so good.

In such cases usually someone from the production is friends/family with famous_person_name_here.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
havent touched this yet cause besides the stunning visuals and audio the game gives you nothing. no horror, no tense story and finished in less than 3 hrs

I have previous i7 generation (3770k) and GTX670 and it runs around 45-39 on "EPIC" preset. Sadly, lowering it to medium with no AA barely gives +10FPS.
Really shit performance.
But damn, game is pretty. The only things that fucks up visual and usual crappy "ue shadows".
Hi. To keep stable 60+ FPS, you sadly need to have GTX970 video card. It's a
problem with UnrealEngine4, and we are hardly working with our engine
programmer to resolve that issue.
A few of the developers from the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt team have left CD Projekt RED to form their own studio, Fool's Theory, and they've already teamed up with IMGN.PRO (developer of Kholat) to start a new gaming project. According to their press release, this project will be a "demanding, ambitious game."
"We started working on a game that will be a daring combination of some isometric genres," said Jakub Rokosz, founder of Fool's Theory and former Senior Quest Developer at CD Projekt RED. "I don’t want to reveal too much details at this point other than we're developing the game on Unreal Engine 4. It was a natural choice for us, taking into consideration how experienced the team is in working with this tool. I can assure you that the game will break some proven schemes and we'll be revealing more information about it very soon."
Amazingly enough, they have a website with a countdown for the game's announcement.
As for why these devs left CD Projekt RED, the press release claims that they want "to take a break from huge productions and find refuge in the mountains of southern Poland."

Ha there is a meme in Poland to "drop everything and go to Bieszczady" where Bieszczady are the south-east mountains in Poland and least civilized region here.
The meme came from a joke about professor examining a girls student. He ask her few questions about current political situation and figures each one easier and more ridiculous. She nows nothing. At the end he asks her where is she from. She says from Bieszczady. He goes to the window and says:
Kurwa, Why not you fuck it* all and go to the Bieszczady?
* or drop everything depends on the joke version and translation. Kurwa is also optional.
