Currently playing through Novigrad quests since 1.07 release. The game is only getting better longer I play. I only wish I'd hold off a little longer. The bugs are killing it for me
In Novigrad sidequests
Spoiler:
I have to talk to Vernon Roche for Eye for an eye quest, but he doesn't spawn in his camp, so I can't continue this quest, Meanwhile I read on the web that I should do 'A deadly plot' quest, this would get me opportunity to talk to Roach. So in order to continue on this quest I should visit Djikstra in Passiflora, but the problem is I already initiated Gwent tournament quest, but I can't complete it because I don't have strong enough deck and keep losing to that smug farmer dwarf in first round. Both gwent tournament quest and 'A deadly plot' take place in Passiflora and I suspect this is a reason I can't get get to/or find Djisktra there to continue.
Great! It's pissing me off because I read these quests are pretty major in final outcome of the game even though they are side quests.
So, anyone who's not played this game and wondering if it's good enough to start, I strongly advise DO NOT PLAY IT YET.
Funny how, IIRC, their smaller but faster patches did not break the game as much as this big, ~2 week patch did
The bigger than changes are the more it's likely to break something. I can understand that many devs just decide to stop patching their game when it works "ok" (as in "possible to finish the game"), to not get into this endless loop that we see here. Here we both have patches AND new DLC's, that means a constant introduction of new bugs.
I bet they kind of regret making a promise of those small DLC's that most of the time are kind of useless and probably always adds at least a few bugs.. Instead they should've had these people focusing on getting the main game bug free.

I hadn't the "Eye for an eye quest" trouble but had the "novigrad gangs and closed city" as not completed .. but indeed was completed.. just hadn't talked to the dwarf mafioso before the quest was completed.sigh. as for the gwent quest.. u can do it..by losing it. I won the tournament but i had a good deck.. u can do it anyway going the girls way..its not very different the result.. and sorry, but if u go on the tournament with an amateur deck what can u expect?? Just keep reloading and beat the halfling..( and after that u have more 3 adversaries) or role-play it and realize u don't have a good enough deck..that aint a bug. A bug is what i have in the "lord of the woods quest" in which the halfling doesn't recognize ive killed the leshen and doesn't givr XP or money for that.

Hopefully. Yesteday I have tried to finish that quest. 2 times of 3 werewolf was doing workout growling and 3rd time fell into the ground.
Just doing that tried 2 times... the werewolf goes down or keeps up doing animations, but without a life bar, his growling noise keeps going and the quest just doesn't finishes
You say that on your 3d attempt the quest "unbugged" and finished ??
Nope. Just fell under the textures and his health bar was all time visible. I have even waited few minutes hopeing that maybe he would fell off far enough to have some scripts broken or smth, but no luck.
Ah.. ok, ive leave it as it this on the circle and went doing the rest of quests.. pitty im level 22 and that 29 would give a good XP bounty..

I know not having good enough deck is not a bug. That's why I loaded a save before I talked to any of the competitors and went doing other quests until I get better cards. But because tournament is already triggered I can't complete other quest in the same area - and that is bug I think.
Yeah he is also full of shit. So,eone asked him if somethjng was fixed, he said yeah, it is was not

I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ?
Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!
How's pre-1.07 regarding quest bugs? Which version would you recommend? There's no doubt I'll replay W3 multiple times, so I don't necessarily need to play the most polished one first. After playing for so long I can't really put it down just like that Many people finished the whole game in previous patches, and I didn't read many complaints. If it's good to go on 1.06 for example I'll just load my backed up save from that version and continue from there on.

1.06 was just fine for me.

i guess thouth if without a legit key the installation was rolling back we are all fucking then
I finished the game with 1.04 and it was almost bug free. Nothing game or quest breaking in it at least in my 100+ hours. I'll probably wait until the first expansion for a second run since they messed up a lot of stuff in the last couple of patches.

seconding this. Didn't install 1.05 or 1.06 because one of them had that bug where you couldn't craft more than one red/green/blue mutagen without dropping the ones you already had first. It's missing some filtering/sorting stuff in inventory, but plays fine IMHO
Well, if you do play lower as 1.07, stay away from Synergy mutation and Demetrium bombs. They involve a nasty bug that would greatly increase your attack power, sign intensity and health. It's quite hard to notice as well. I only noticed it when my Yrden would completely freeze enemies.
I thought I had downloaded a pack from one of the rin guys and gotten virus's. But, as I look into it more, it looks like magnet links are to blame.
Long story:
Downloaded 10dlc pack from (oops almost said) and when I got invaded I tried to backtrack where it came from. So I started downloading similar files waiting for utorrent to tell me the torrent was the same. I guess it's comparing file names now and not hashes. When I renamed the original torrent, utorrent no longer threw up an "same torrent" prompt. I'm guessing this is a magnet link problem.
thats genuinely disturbing.. not being funny, it really looks like you've peered behind the veil, and seen the world for the monstrous nightmare it truly is, instead of the pleasing facade the nightmare monsters usually project.
