The Witcher 3 & Batman: Arkham Knight might get the DX12 patch and are the only ones I'm aware of.

pCARS has internal builds on DX12 already, Fable Legends is built on it.

CE, UE and FB all have builds running on DX12 too so any games later this year might have DX12 support. Andersson wants Win12/DX12 to be the minimum for all FB games by holiday 2016 Razz

Arkham Knight getting DX12 would be hilarious considering the crappy state it is in. Neither W3 nor AK have been confirmed to get DX12 though.

I could see Nvidia maybe poking CD Project and WB a bit to get DX12 added to Witcher 3 and Batman to showcase their GPU's and the improved performance it brings.

ArmA 3 is possibly getting a DX12 update too, should help with the CPU usage but it's still being discussed as I understood it.

Ah, I thought it was a certainty that it would come with the new Island map.
Hope they do, otherwise I'm not seeing myself to ever try this game.

No, we will see games with "DX12 support" way earlier.

It just games with proper DX12 usage/implementation will appear way later.

Arma 3 will get Dx12 for sure, they intend to do it as soon as possible, but probably it will come with the new expansion in 2016.

Yeah right.
Or just gimp the performance for older cards a la witcher 3, at least with some of the initial drivers Laughing

Stay tuned for fucking 12.1. Its looming.

Nvidia will make us buy new cards for that. They'll be all smiles again at that point.

Yeah, sure, fuck that. They will just limit DX12 to 9xx (PARTIAL SUPPORT (TM) and 10xx series (FULL DX12 SUPPORT! HOT!) via drivers.

Wasn't DX12 supposed to allow for VRAM stacking with SLI/Crossfire? I don't see anything about that in the article.

DX12 already beats Mantle:

Quote:
The leap in performance applies to both Mantle and DirectX 12, and we happily noted that AMD's DX12 showing actually shows a significant improvement over Mantle (its own API, remember) in every test.

As always DX11 AMD performance is lol (dat overhead):

Quote:
Looking at the results, some trends become clear. The problems with AMD's DirectX 11 driver, amplified here with a draw call specific bench, are put into sharp relief. Firstly, not only is AMD's single-thread performance slower, but the driver is not multi-core aware whatsoever. Not only is Nvidia faster, but it can scale its load over three threads. The Core i5 - the processor with the fastest single-core performance in all of these tests - is the only chip capable of breaking the 1m draw call threshold on AMD hardware, somewhat vindicating our previous contention that enthusiast-level GPUs require an Intel quad-core CPU to get the most out of them. By contrast, Nvidia gets equivalent draw call throughput on every CPU we tested.

It's a good thing AMD does not have such issues with Mantle / DX12 and newer games will thus not suffer.

Update: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2015-why-directx-12-is-a-gamechanger

Quote:
We originally ran this article in May 2015, but with the release this week of Windows 10, we thought we'd revisit DirectX 12 on the launch version of the OS, using the latest drivers in order to update the benchmark data. We've also replaced the AMD A10 7800 benches with the same tests run on an FX 6300 - this is a more direct equivalent to the Core i3 4130. We also re-tested Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and found that significant issues remain with AMD's DX11 performance on less capable processors on both Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
