I noticed that TW3 will often screw up the graphics settings after applying a patch. My foliage visibility setting was set to medium but was actually on ultra after the patch had been applied, and this takes a huge hit in performance. If you reset the settings it's fine again.

353.49 is the best driver overall, especially for kepler users, because it has kepler optimizations. "latest" driver 353.62 is actually older branch 352 and doesn't have kepler optimizations, so beware of that.

and like another guy said check that your gfx settings didn't change after applying the path.

Four sample mods for the modkit, guess it's close to release then?

EDIT: Seems to be real.

That means we should expect highest res textures, combat modifications etc? Is it easier for modders now to try and achieve the pre-downgrade look of the game?

Afaik W2 didn't have many mods.. So I don't really get all the hype about W3 modding tools.. I seriously doubt it's gonna be like Skyrim in this regard.

Is it fully featured modkit, capable of creating new unique content like quests, etc.? Or just change textures and scripts?

Textures and scripts most probably.

So, in short nothing like skyrim editor? Shame. But understandable. Who would want to buy their season pass then Laughing

Having checked it out and read the documentation and quick guides for it what you get it a trimmed down utility that can unpack and pack the games data so you can then edit said data such as exporting models and textures or scripts, however you do not get access to a easy to use editor GUI, tool works via command-line parameters and is primarily for unpacking the game data and then you can pack this as a stand-alone mod and use the tool again to generate the required manifest file.
(It's easiest to just read the ModKit-QuickGuide.pdf file to get a better explanation.)

Via a mod.settings file (optional) you can also set up a few settings for your mod such as it's file priority (From 1 to 9999) and if it should be enabled or disabled but it's pretty basic stuff, most editing will probably be via the various script files the game uses and probably a couple of texture and model replacements.
(Unsure if you can edit audio and I'm pretty sure you can't edit the shader files and the core engine data will be unavailable too as there's no source code provided oh and you can edit the SWF UI files.)

Aw, that's a real shame. Thanks for actually checking it out. Razz So it's a modkit to edit already existing contents but not full mod tools to create completely new ones, such as quests, models and the likes. Not that I was expecting meaningful huge conversions , but still.

Not to mention the sexlab mod for TW3. Being able to pleasure your wife in countless positions in Skyrim (or that vampire chick in Dawnguard) after being back home from clearing Dungeon #173 was nice for the sake of variety and a change of pace.

Still not good enough to keep the game installed though Laughing
