yeah i turn my pc off aswell now. With ssd's, it's insta booted anyway. And i kinda like my pc off when i am not using it lol (unlike before with old hdd's, where i had my system run for weeks and weeks lol).

the few times i do turn it off is if i go away for several days, or if i absolutely have nothing downloading or processing, or no projects going on which takes ages to load up (Cubase stuff etc).

guize, the point of those quotes were to show that Larian is most likely gonna became a console game maker from now on. They say the entire team all of a sudden thinks the controller adapted game is so much better, they don't use M/KB anymore. The Larian boss already doesn't play on computers, but likes derpsoles. And he believes, for some unknown reason, that the Baldur's Gate audience from 2000 somehow got retarded in the meantime, and having liked BGate so much they migrated to consoles so they can play Gears and Halo. I mean, it makes perfect sense. It's horrible to read that. How did you get around to who turns his PC off or not ?

No way!! a PC-centric developer shitcanning the original audience in favour of console centric development?!? I just expect this now, no suprise.

the only thing horrible here is your very narrow minded thinking. larian works all day on computers bent on mouse and keyboard, so naturally playing on gamepad is a lot more relaxing for them. i can relate to that. when i come home i rarely want to play on mouse+kb, especially if i had a very hard day at work, the thought of using mouse+kb again to play a game makes me shiver.
i'm tired of PC nazis like you who think that the only "proper" way to play games is on a tiny monitor while sitting on a chair and bent over a table with mouse and keyboard. you know why i love PC gaming? because it was always about choice. you want to play with mouse? great. you want to use controller, joystick or a wheel? no problem. but there must be religious fanatics like you who want to ruin it for all.
i can't wait to see how this game feels with a controller. you got a problem with that? well tough luck.

You seem to not have much clue about what you're talking about. I was dissapointed and upset at their recent choices, i didn't bust your home to force you to play with what you don't want. I don't give a flying fuck about you or what you play with. Go ahead and derp it on the couch, who's stoping you?
On the other hand, pads or mouse is not a simple "choice". It directly affects the entire game design. Depending on what your control scheme is, everything changes, from AI, to level design, to basic gameplay, to enemy encounter design, to fights, to gameplay options, UI, overall complexity,character movement and speed, etc.
You thought that theres a single game mold in the world from where everything comes out and plays the same? A real, proper pc games makes use of other systems that require mouse and keyboard than a console game. Not to mention that this entire rpg subgenre from which Original Sin is a part of, was created and invented around the mouse and keyboard. Designing a game for a thumbstick and ten buttons is a different beast. If i wanted to play console games, i'd buy a console. I don't need them on my pc, just so they can catter to retards, in the hope of a few extra bucks

The guy I knew from Larian... he didn't mind playing on keyb+mouse after spending a 'full day' on them nor did I or most people I knew that worked in IT. Most of them just picked the controls that worked best with whatever game they were playing.
Make your point with PC being great because we get the choice... but don't turn it into silliness just to put more weight behind your view.

I never finished the game. When I was really big into it I ordered an SSD and reinstalled windows. That's when I found out it doesn't use Steam's cloud save system...and I lost my 30 hours game....
