Enthusiasm for a Resident Evil 2 Remake is something we've been hearing from you over the years, and has drawn some recent attention in the media.
However, as the team owns the RE brand, we're not certain how we feel about this approach, and would like to ask your honest and frank opinion about the “Resident Evil 2 Remake” and what the brand identity is supposed to be about?

Who is this "H" guy?
Hiroyuki Kobayashi, he started as a programmer of RE1&2 and worked on the motion capture of REmake but he eventually became a producer of further RE games such as RE4, 5, 6 and REmaster. He has been there since the beginning.

It's simple Capcomen, just make it in the style of the REmaster, only with the obvious improvements in terms of visuals/tech involved. The core gameplay shall not be butchered.
Don't make it nu-RE please, keep that stuff for RE7 and leave the poor RE2 alone
I hope this means it'll be made from scratch, unlike the other remake where they used filters on old Gamecube backgrounds. No way they could ever hope to improve the even worse PS1 backgrounds in the same way.

Haha, it all depends on their present and future choice of words, if they start using the iconic "authentic", "visceral", "for the old and new fans" and the likes, prepare yourself for the Brosident Pewils experience. Otherwise...maybe there's hope! very maybe but it's there

The voice acting wasn't that bad in the first place (nowhere near RE1's absurdity) not to mention I got used to hearing the actors re-voicing the characters (Claire, Ada) in later installments or new actors doing a fine job replacing the old ones (Sherry, Leon... and the new Ada).
I only worry that the REv2 actress will voice Claire again because she sounded nothing like Claire, but that might have been intentional because her character was also pretty different. Alyson Court had voiced Claire in every single game and even the Degeneration movie until she was replaced in REv2. Can we get her back please?

Hah, didn't know that these guys are italian. They surely have/had good intentions, but alas after seeing more gameplay videos what they've done so far isn't quite right sadly, to put it mildly.
Hope they can find some fortune anyway, perhaps with a collaboration of some sort that doesn't end up in a disaster xD

Hiroyuki Kobayashi (check his credits in the OP) is joined by Yasuhiro Anpo, programmer on RE1 and 2 (and its earlier version, 1.5, as himself says on the video), planner on REvelations 1 and director of RE5 and REvelations 2.
They say there's a director on board but they won't say who just yet.
Well, the REvelations 1 director is doing RE7 and the REvelations 2 director is working as a non-director on this, so who will direct it? No way they give it to the RE6 guy or the Mercenaries 3D guy or the Chronicles guys, so someone new (on the position of director at least) I guess because it's not like there are any more of the past directors available (imagine Kamiya returning..? nah).
Anyway they reveal nothing but hint the game will have to be updated to the high standard REmake displayed compared to the original. Well, we all hoped they use that as their model anyway.
