Pls tell me what type of file of Cold War CD image you used for burning(cue,mds) because mds/mdf cant be burned with Alcohol .

*.mds and *.mdf ARE the Alcohol's formats... so it must burn them... And you should use them, not cue, bin cause they don't have the necessary data...

Just unplug Your dvd/cd roms drives and play .Dont read the sheet that MIRROR WRITE .IT WORKS ONLY ON 10% OF THE GAMES THAT THEY SUPOSE THEY CRACK
I DOWNLOADED SUFFERING AND IT WORKS ONLY IF I UNPLUG MY DVDROMS

Are u sure that this method will work with Cold War ?

I don't like that game but I've checked it for you and yes it works with PCI IDE controller SiL0680A, no tricks.
