I definitely felt overwhelmed and it has a typical touch but still has the big open world, but I haven't scratched the surface yet, Afghanistan is big but not as big as they said, so there's more places coming (confirmed).

Won't tell much, but you have a lot of control over your gear now as well. Not only because of developing things, but you'll see! Smile And needless to say, Motherbase feels like a real base, once you start "expanding" you'll know.

I started playing! The prologue was fucking awesome. I tried to make sense out of it but goddamn it Kojima! I love the 60fps and excellent visuals though. Its so visceral! Sadly I ran out of time but will hopefully pick it up again tomorrow after work, whilst trying to squeeze in some more Until Dawn and probably Mad Max!

Agreed the game is epic. The ONLY thing bothering me is why the fuck is there credits at the start and end of every episode!? It just annoys me lol.

Okay Prologue was very epic!

But one thing bothers me much. Why the hell doesn't the big boss say anything most of the time? It's like the Npcs are doing monologues Confused

I hope he talks more in future cutscenes...

Not massively digging the whole open world vibe. Feels boring and samey. Only played an hour but found maybe bored with the setting and the general gameplay vibe (ride around on a horse, kill some baddies at a base, etc). Feels like a boring version of far cry at the moment... I hope that changes quick

I think thats what I thought and might be why I prefer Mad Max.

mad max and especially far cry 4 are utter shit compared to this, i guess people nowadays just have very short attention spans, its sad really Sad
its the perfect stealth game, so if you play it guns blazing, its just not for you, thats all.

you cant compare this project with games like fc4 and mad max. kojima could do whatever he wanted, he got a budget about 70 million dollars for this game (and he finally managed to hire some non asian guys to do the control scheme, first time its not fucked up ^^). but i have to say mgs got a little bit mainstreamed too, but i think most of the kiddies who buy it dont finish it (or they play like its a rambo game). on the other hand far cry is a mass product from ubisoft. havent played mad max so far, but avalanche is still a small studio with not that much money (their swedish studio did that, not the usa guys which have done just cause). its like comparing shen mue with ragnarok online ^^

So far this is a major deception for me too.

It's nowhere near as epic as MGS3 was and I remember I barely could stop playing because of the story and the cutscenes being so amazing (and dat music too).

Here even the music is bland (yet it's from HGW too).

thats what i meant with got mainstreamed. no 45min long cutscenes here, or lets say: almost no cutscenes here (which is partly owing by the open world aspect, which i personally dislike. i hate the whole open world hype shit fuck of the last years)

Hmm ... nothing wrong with a difference of opinion. The prologue was awesome. After that I got a bit bored. Mad Max has been thoroughly entertaining throughout the 8 hours I played so far and continues to entertain.

well its not for everyone, for people truly into stealth games this is as good as it gets, otherwise it might not be one's cup of tea.

I loved MGS1, 3, found the rest to be utter crap, this one is starting to becoming the best MGS for me.

If the game continues it might even surpass the best stealth game out there, chaos theory

With games like this one, Witcher 3, and Batman the gaming future is starting to look really fun Smile

Well when you put it like that, there appears to be no stealth whatsoever in Mad Max Smile

For me it's living up to my own hype, which was huge and I've been waiting for it for years. Just past Episode 6 about 10 hours in. I think you really got to push through after the first few EPisodes then it gets addicting to just build your base, build weapons build everything. Every single thing you do builds to something. Also the gameplay for me is one of the best for any game ever. I am going to put at least 100 hours into this game which I almost never do in a game and this one won't be hard for me. Maybe more. I'm going to try to 100% it.
