huzzah, the servers are finally up. I downloaded my save game from Ground Zero and got Kojima along with a few other npc's from that game join up with the mother base. Does uploading the save game do anything else at all?.

I heard it unlocks a mission where you return to the base from Ground Zeroes.

Yes. Just copy the all files to \Steam\steamapps\common\MGS_TPP.
Then select the game and click on install.
Steam will automatically verify the files and download the missing/updated files if any.

Steam didnt verify the file started downloading everything

Yeah, it seems that only worked before the first patch. Now it does the whole scanning existing files thing, then deletes them all and downloads it from scratch. I'm still stuck with that myself (up to 17.5GB now). I'll do a hash check when it's finished to see if all the files are different (which presumably they must be to for them all to be redownloaded).

So far the patches have only updates MGSVTPP.exe
(And version_info.txt)

EDIT: My mistake, chunk0.dat was also updated in the first patch for the game.

I just watched the gamescom video for the multiplayer in this game, it looks quite interesting, all very cat and mouse. If anyone's interested, just forward to around 17:30 in the vid for a gameplay demo. Surprised

You also get a sneaking suit if you have done enough in GZ.

Thank you difm, I've been using that suit as I thought it looked pretty cool, I had no idea it was connected to the save game file though. There were two versions, the first being the SW(?) sneaking suit, although they both look the same.
There was also the solid snake suit which was, as Konami put it, is for role playing purposes. It's basically snake ala Metal Gear Solid.

There's a couple of pics of them both in the spoiler bit.

If anyone is interested in a Ground zero save file, there's this 100% one on reddit. Might be good for those who haven't got a save from that game to get these suits.

I think they are full of shit.. if they could have cracked lords of the fallen, battlefield hardline ,batman , they would have done it but they didn't.., cpy did it.
A group that just renames CPY releases to their own name 3dm can't be trusted for anything..

Do you have to upload the save from GZ and then download in TPP to get the staff? I got a notice at the start of the game about the suit and a couple of other things just by having the save in the userdata folder. Haven't checked if they actually appeared in my game (I don't think any staff have yet at least, unless they are all crap).

Yes, and for whatever reason that makes Steam redownload the whole game. It refused to recognise the other files. I assume it's the same issue where people halfway through downloading when the patch came out had to start over.

They cracked DAI and FIFA15 before anyone else, and also lead the race on the GTAV cracl. LoF they didn't give a fuck or they couldn't cracl but aside from that one they did it before CPY.
