There's no problem, controls are better with a gamepad for this kind of game though.

Completely subjective, controls are better with kb/m for this kind of game though, see how that goes ?

How do they get games this cheap? Do i risk getting my steam account banned or something?
If someone could enlighten me as to these cheap websites , that would be great.
Regards. |
bought it there for 18.5 bucks with their facebook 5 % off. no issues. i did need to give a phone number for an automated PIN receival. the key then arrived instantly.

Same here.
I use KB/M to code in Visual studio and to post on forums ... and Gamepad to play games |
You used a gamepad in SimCity?

Sayyy what ?? are you serious ?? isn't this PC Games Arena ? Kb/M is ALWAYS better than a gamepad for games that have mouselook (you can move camera with mouse) and that will never change, only consoletards use gamepad for fps or tps... |
Yes. This is PC Games Arena. PC games also use controller. Beauty of being a PC gamer is having a choice, being able to pick the right tool for the job rather than the one tool the manufacturers demand we use.
Tr1ples1xer wrote: | That is true, sabin said it was ridiculous to play with kb/m, I just had to call out his bs. |
"BS" for having an opinion. Yeup, this is definitely PC Games Arena with shit-ass PC "Master Race" gamers as always
Morphineus wrote: | I'm edgy, I use Keyb+M AND gamepad |
Damn skippy For this game, controller feels the most natural.. not least of which because it's a driving game first and foremost. K/m feels very unnatural for this :\
garus wrote: | That's right. Driving on KB is awfully imprecise and pressing a button makes the car turn 30 degrees on lower speeds. It's really tough. |
This. This and always this. Some games are perfect on a keyboard and mouse, better than perfect in fact, and some just aren't. You *can* play everything on a k/m, sure, but that doesn't mean it's going to be ideal... hell, people have completed Dark Souls on a steering wheel afterall

I didn't say I was unable, nor that anyone else is unable, it's just more comfortable to play a driving game with a controller than WSAD. Precision aiming is utterly inconsequential in this too, further making - for me - the mouse redundant.

Finally finished it - 40 hours give or take - I did all of the main stuff (wasteland missions, camps, top dogs, towers, snipers, upgrading strongholds fully), but skipped a lot of the minor scrap camps, minefields, races, and stunt jumps.
The game was amazing - but it suffered, much like AC and the like, from putting way too much optional worthless crap. If they think I'm going to drive all over the ends of the earth to pick up bits of 8 or 10 scrap, when my upgrades require 900-2500 pieces,, they've got another thing comin.
I was also a bit pissed that I didn't get any further rewards from all those optional scrap donations in the strongholds. That, and how little the strongholds actually influenced the game itself (not at all really).
Regardless, at $23 this was most definitely the best purchase of the year in terms of a value for the money perspective.
Avalanche have now broken Rocksteady's jaw, sunk a shiv into their collective spines, and rightfully taken their place upon my most favored developer throne.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Why isn't there a solution with keyboards with touch sensitive keys, that give an analogue reading or so?

How are Avalanche with updates/upgrades to their games? Can we expect a much improved game in a few months or just some tiny bug fixes?

Edit: Nevermind me. I thought regions were divided by color since 4-5 of them share the same color for Jeet. Turns out there's an extra one to the north for him, different color. Noob mistake. Must instead find out who owns a region by hovering over them and looking at the yellow outline.

Played 4 hours straight, havent done that in YEARS, i usualy never play a single player game more than 1.5h nowadays, thats how invested i usualy am, so ill leave it at that. Great game, yes its simple, but everything works in its favor for sure, its a really fun game, and thats what matter most.
Even though this is a huge wasteland and u dont encounter many ppl in it, i feel more immersed than say on far cry or shadow of mordor, the combat is just an improved sleeping dogs, ppl are comparing this to batman combat, it is certainly not, its more like SD, the counter system isnt as automatic as batman at all, u have to manualy face ur opponents, the shooting inside the car with the slow down is taken directly from sleeping dogs, as is the car ramming mechanic with the press of a button, just more reasons why SD was underrated and they are taking cues from a game that set standards and inovations when it comes to these mechanics, at least imo.
Best 15 bucks i spend in recent years, even if crack was out tomorrow i wouldnt regret one bit.
The game is just fun to explore.
The graphics are overall servicable, with some vistas beeing incredible, some shots of light beeing out of this world, and sometimes its just average, in certain scenes, the models could be better, even max itself, but the char lighting is really good.
Applied some vibrance sharpen and curves with sweetfx with some smaa on top. disabled haze and motion blur, game looks stunning.

Finished after 55 hours. What a phenomenal game, absolutely amazing and a goddamned joy to play from start to fini.... welll.....
Spoiler: |
The ending was just terrible I get that it's very "Mad Max", but it was still terrible. Everything that happened to Hope and Glory was *his* fault, he then murders Chumbucket - who had every right to flee with the Opus after finding out Max was going to dump him or kill him once the car was finished - then drives off into the wastes, searching for his mythical completely-not-existing-outside-his-grief-and-lunacy-addled-brain "Plains of Silence"
Such a shame that, for me as a player in the experience, it really ruined it in the end.
|
Aside from that, which is massively subjective regardless, the game itself was excellent. I loved the foot *and* car combat equally, the progression system was fun but massively unbalanced seeing as how I was Max ( ) level before I'd even got to Gas Town (which the game expects you to do rather quickly, considering it's throwing tutorial messages at you when you're there ) which felt wrong somehow. Visuals were nice, nothing mindblowing but the shader/lighting was really impressive at times ... and the performance was utterly flawless. Not a single drop from 60 during play with the exception of loading screens.
RAGE meets Batman meets Shadow of Mordor and what a hell of an experience it was.

Hi gentlemen,
not have been here for ages. Glad at least forums still active after they stopped updating PC ISO release list a year ago. Do you know any other release nfo website similar to isohump, nfohump?
In regaard to Mad Max, I wonder what type of protection game has. I mean it's SP only, steam enabled, usually it should not take long to produce crack for such a game. So I wonder if anyone has any overview about protection and idea when the crack can come out?
I like Mad Max movie series, so I'm looking forward for this one. Not sure about buying of this one, probably save some change for JC3 - Parade of explosions - i like so much
