Another solid episode, though perhaps a bit lacking in action. Avi's "pic" bit was hilarious, and its always good to see

Hank Azaria AKA FBI Swinger Chief is back,; should be interesting to see him lock horns with Ray again. And as always, Sarah Shahi is great to watch, though am not sure if this was a one-off appearance for her character.
I'm happy I never started watching this show and now I know never will. I feel a bit sad for you guys that enjoy it as you must be in for a great disappointment when Showtime decides to butcher it
True, it is the heart of the show. I should have been more specific. I meant that sometimes in the past seasons the family stuff has been a little repetitive. I've lost count of the number of times Ray has fucked up by missing dinner or coming home drunk etc. As soon as he invited Bridget to dinner, I had a terrible feeling the show was going down a well worn path.
Thankfully, dinner seemed to go well enough I hope it stays that way, and the writers find new, more interesting ways to flesh out the family stuff.
I guess deep down, I just hate to see them fighting
The show is not getting any better though. I'd say it's quite the opposite.. Yeah, there are still some good scenes here and there, some funny stuff, good old Mickey fucking things up and all, but overall it's been steadily getting worse.
But I reckon it's pretty cheap compared to Penny Dreadful so...
Don't get me wrong, it's still more or less entertaining but nowhere near it's glory days imho
