Well they did say it was all scripted. That said though, the fact that the majority of the infantry stood around with their thumbs up their ass while getting attacked seems to me to suggest it might be close to what we will see in the finished game. If it was completely faked you'd think they'd make all those troops attack.
Creative Assembly won't change unless big media outlets, or say popular YouTubers with millions of fans start pointing out issues that absolutely cannot continue in the Total War series. It won't help that they say this once, they'll have to be riding CA's back throughout development. The only popular YouTuber I know to be interested in this game is Joe "AngryJoe" Vargas. They're complacent and they have no direct competition.
weel for me for example its completely non-issue as i most of the time spend on strategy map and even i battles i spend ost of the time zoomed out
and they said they dont have finished all animations in video so those are probably not finished aswell as the cavalry ones mentioned in video
How can whether there is only one to one combat be a non-issue?
If there's a big troll, you'd want to see every infantry as well as ranged units try to kill it, not just the one or two lone spearmen closest to the enemy while everyone else looks on.

I remember in the original Total War (Shogun) the units fighting were pretty autonomous, sometimes the formation would break up so much that there would be skirmishes a fair distance apart. With the same 2 units fighting.
Soldiers die even though they haven't been physically hit, because they're attached to a unit of soldiers, and if that unit takes an hp loss say from a barrage of arrows, it is setup to just kill off dudes even though they weren't hit. Its pathetic.
The Total War community calls it death by heart-attack.

Maybe everyone, except those two retards, knows better not to poke a huge troll with a stick?
Looks really nice, the camera, perspective all combine to make it all look suitably epic and dynamic.
The issues some of you's have pointed out don't really bother me, I'll definitely play this when it's out. it looks fun.
Close combat still looks so bad with this engine, it seems like there is only one on one combat, with many of the ajacent units just standing there.
this HAS to be fixed (for me to buy at least).
Actually that's 1 to 1 representation of table top rules. They hit the mark here
Spoiler:
but yeah the combat in this game lacks the oomph!
That maybe happens in real life too perhaps. Think about it, 2 guys are having it out moving around swinging sharp swords about and shit.. you might be reluctant to jump in too.
Here is Altdorf, the capital of human empire. We need to unite the shattered kingdom only under Emperor Karl Franz. Here is also diplomacy play an important role.
The underground fortress of Karaz-a-Karak is the seat of the High Kings dwarf, ruled from here Thorgrim Grudgebearer. The stumps are an ancient and proud people whose old size is now in ruins and must be back recaptured.
The orcs are scattered in tribes across the entire world, but live mainly here in the south, in the Badlands. The subjects of chief Grimgor Ironhide have with tax and trade little on guard, but on a campaign to join us on an increasing number of warriors, the better we beat us.
In Sylvania prevail the Vampire Counts, about the Creative Assembly keeps still covered. Since vampires grow no grain, but people suck, we are excited to see how they obtain food. Serves the population of conquered cities about the same time as a pantry?
The Northern Chaos Wastes makes to its name and is home to the minions of chaos, corrupt people and terrifying creatures. They should in Total War: Warhammer play a role, but not be playable. Perhaps they fall as barbarian invasion into a country such as in Medieval 2, the Mongols?
At Black Fire Pass, the battle between Franz and Karl Grimgor Ironhide took place, which we have seen in the first trailer and images.
The old world includes even more factions than the known four playable. Here extends eispielsweise the honorable horsemen Kingdom Bretonia. Will it probably playable at some point in my DLC?
In the mountains south of Bretonnia is Skavenblight, a stronghold of the Skaven. The underground hoards of rat people are scattered all over the ancient Old World, so they could get involved as a neutral faction.
Athel Loren, the Kingdom of the mysterious Wood Elves, is expected to also provide a neutral faction in the way eroberungswütiger player.
The Wasteland around the city-state Marienburg split once on the empire. That can not tolerate the Emperor yet!
Inhabited by people of Kislev Confederacy is an impoverished confederation who can resist with difficulty the incident trolls and Marauders.
In frosty Norsca live tough barbarians who worship the gods of Chaos. There's also dangerous ice dragon here.
Here lies the former dwarf stronghold Karak Ungor, in which the orc chieftain Grimgor Ironhide had already taken root. If they show up in the game?
Battles, at least for me, have been passable.
It is almost always the campaign map mode which stops me playing it. It is quite boring (with long turn times and very little to do).
It seems that yet again emphasize is on battle mode
(understandably tho, because this is what sells mostly nowadays, unfortunately).
SEGA has announced Total War: Warhammer will release on April 28, 2016.
Along with this news, the publisher has also confirmed a couple of special editions along with a pre-order bonus. First up, anyone who shows their intent to buy the latest entry in the series ahead of time will get the game's first DLC for free.
Seen in the new trailer below, the Chaos Warriors Race Pack adds three new playable Legendary Lords, enabling you to select the corrupted Chaos Warriors as your race in the Grand Campaign. These come with unique mounts, units and creatures, alongside a narrative-driven quest chain for each lord.
Three versions of the game are available: the standard edition comes with the game, while the Limited Edition comes with a steelbook for the game and a printed strategy guide to help you get started.
The most comprehensive offering, however, is the High King Edition, which is set to come in a case modelled on the Book of Grudges from Warhammer lore. Inside is a Grudge ring, a Whetstone Pendant, a Dwarfen Drinking Horn and Stand, a Canvas Map, an integrated Artbook, and the steelbook, guide and Chaos Warriors Race Pack previously mentioned.

Chaos locked behind a paywall. Amazing service for your loyal fans Creative Assembly. Epic. After the recent disasters they call video games, they still play the greed cards.
This is a company that is 100% complacent. Taking every fan for granted. Because we are stupid enough to buy their games.
Now watch the game come out in a completely fucked up state, requiring 3 years to fix, and in the process of "fixing it" they will remove features and dumb it down.
The amazing money-generating pattern (tm) by Creative Assembly, the worst programmers and game designers on the planet, right up there with Gearbox and Egosoft.
In a decade of making video games, there are no signals they'll change to become a more quality and fan oriented developer.
SEGA doesn't need further introduction, they are POISON. They milk the Football Manager franchise hard by releasing tiny "updates" as full priced games every year.
