@Pitzzu , I agreed with everything you said. I also experienced the magic that was MGS1 on PS1 in 1998. Looking back to it, I think it's going to be the most hated game in the series. Just like FF13 or RE6 were for each franchise.
During 22+ hrs of playtime, there was only one major and really short cutscene. The rest of time you just sneak around - that's it. But as soon as I saw that they started to use the same locations for diferent missions and grinding, I said fuck this and gave up on it. Give me a fucking break - no story and same recycled environments. MGS4 came out ages ago in 2008, so they had 7 years to make something special. What a waste...
It's not only MGS - the whole gaming industry is beyond fucked. No one cares about the next RE anymore, Silent Hill is dead and buried, one stupid generic sequel after another. They're even remaking FF7 and RE2 for fuck's sake. But no - it is the golden age of gaming! Give me a fucking break. I can't wait for Fallout 5, Dark Souls 8, GTA6 and FarCry 5! I bet Nintendo's new console is going to be an absolute killer too!

The "golden age of gaming" wouldn't have 90% remasters and sequels, no.

I'm not sure what you're asking. If you mean D. Walker, you can take it into any mission. In fact I think you can take any vehicle into any mission, you just need to have captured it with a fulton previously.

You get a scifi tank at some point but it's apparently AI missions only.
I don't think you can use it yourself.
The whole thing felt underdeveloped. Surely there must have been more planned for it.
Btw, I just read that if you have it, and you use it on an AI deployment mission and you cancel or fail the mission you may lose it... for good.
So be careful with that thing I guess. lol

I've got that first test mission with it in my list, but with S+ troops it's only a 60% chance of success. I need to harvest a bunch of S++ troops, but I gather you need to do all the harder replay versions of missions to get a supply of those.

@bloodian I really don't believe you. You might be master of stealth but it's hard to believe.
I'm at mission 30 something and baddies have full buddy armor and theres' just more of them than regular army dorks.
If you don't use OP stun arm, magazine, knock, etc it's damn hard.

The game adapts to your play style and tries to counter it. Have your combat department do deployment missions which prevent enemies from getting equipment. Go to your map and you'll see several icons to the right. These indicate how hard the countermeasures against you are. They range from non-highlighted to highlighted in white, then faint pink and pink. Each of those levels indicates that enemies are using more and more of that type of equipment against you. Do deployment missions with the same icons as the highlighted ones and you should be seeing fewer enemies with that type of equipment.

It's kinda strange to think that in a mgs game all the side characters do absolute fuck all except spout exposition. The only characters that actually do anything are fireman and the kids. I just keep thinking back to mgs1-3 and how every chapter or level in the game it felt like some batshit crazy stuff could happen at any moment. A cyborg ninja might come outta nowhere or maybe your master beats the shit out of you and ocelot rocks up meowing like a cat. It was goofy as hell but that unpredictability is what I loved about the series. MGSV feels so drab and boring in comparison. From early on the mission structure teaches you to expect nothing except maybe a cutscene at mbase every few missions. Makes it painful to play through for the story.
and nah I haven't finished chapter 2 yet... one day.

Armor doesnt really matter anyway, it only comes into play if you fuck up. Thats why stealth games are always easy, how can it be hard when the enemy doesnt know you're there.
What gets me into trouble is fultoning things and stuff like that because it draws alot of attention, if you go full stealth though its easy as.
The kids were the biggest challenge so far, they just seemed to see me lying in the grass, miles away at night and alot of your responces dont work on them, like i wasnt able to fulton them so couldnt hide the body.

Early on they don't know where you are. Later on the AI cheats and knows exactly where you are, as you discovered with your kids example.

You'll get a cutscene eventually. There's nothing like the one on the medical platform.

I'm just posting this reply to give MGSV some love through all the hate. I love this game. I'm addicted. One thing I hated though was "reflex mode" but managed to turn it off in the options so it's even better. Trying to 'S' rank all the missions is a nice side thing to do too.

I bought this game. Thrice. For me, my brother, and my cousin since metal gear man.
I am pretty disappointed. It's fun. But it's like suddenly losing an erection in the middle of a good blowjob.
