Wow, it has zombies and it still sucks, now that takes effort Embarassed or maybe it's just zombie overload. Or the sucky actors, the main guy is not exactly Benicio Del Toro, hell he's not even Rick Grimes.

It has a decent chance of being a first zombie show that gets cancelled.

Watched the second episode and it's actually growing on me a bit (a bit unexpected since i really didnt like the first ep that much). I do wish it had better actors, that johnny depp wanna-be (the drug addict) is quite terrible. i disliked him even more in the second ep. unfortunately.

I guess it's ok to watch if you _really_ miss zombies/TWD (and are ok with something that isnt nearly as good, so far), otherwise give it a miss.

Well, this show is not a disaster, but it's pretty bad. Although it has good production value, the acting is below average (I kinda like fake Johnny Depp), the story is weak as hell, and the way they handle the whole situation is amateurish at best.

And then come the B-series clichés, like 'someone told me there were horrible murders and acts of cannibalism in a crackhouse, better go check it out alone!"

Unless it raises the bar dramaticaly, and see no hope for this.

Stupid Hollywood weapon mistake in the latest episode when the guy racks an over/under shotgun as if it's a pump action.

Eh, this show is full of 'mistakes' that things like that don't even bother me.
I gave it enough chances, dropping it.

She had doubts about what was going on outside and finally decided to go an have a look. What she did wasn't at all that stupid.

@Yondaime

Reaction

At first I thought she was gonna cut the fence where some bushes were, now that would make sense. Zombies wouldn't notice dat hole and soldiers wouldn't notice it either but then she just started cutting it in the open lol

No, cutting up the fence is not stupid at all, no not at all. It's not like the fence is keeping anything out right. Razz

The fence part I thought was stupid as well, but that wasn't the argument.

Even so, the soldiers said that it was all clear for 6 miles around the perimeter and things were supposedly getting better. In the long-term it would also make sense to make the hole where it's more likely to be found later, so they can fix it Razz

You can apply certain degree of logic here and allow the characters to make mistakes due to their inexperience in the face of a zombie apocalypse (they live in the world where such things are completely unknown even in fiction, after all!), so if this was the worst thing they could do, I am fine with that.

That .50 caliber sniper shot was disappointing. I hoped the zombie's head would pop like a watermelon.

It's not as good, TWD has many interesting characters, this has a few characters that are bearable but not very interesting or likeable. The only thing that is better here is that people don't really know for sure what is happening so they are more foolish and more unprepared etc.

Haha...the show was definitely teasing that. When Travis came back to the neighborhood I thought he was going to walk in on them.

Yeah, well, at least in TWD you don't see a squad of trained soldiers with automatic weapons failing to capture one building with zombies inside (while already knowing what they're up against and how to kill walkers for good) Laughing The way the army is portrayed here is really idiotic - they're usually either overly dramatic/cruel for no reason, or completely incompetent.

I kinda like the pacing - the way the stuff is slowly changing for the worse and them slowly getting to know exactly what kind of a shitstorm they're in the middle of. Some plot points really fuck it up at times though. There's also a couple of relatively interesting characters - one that's promising actually just got intruduced in this ep.

But yeah, so far it's a very mediocre show.
