the only thing that outrages me is that im not hitting my shots right, lost three games very close in div7 cause i suck at finshing atm. and somehow crossing is good for me in skill training but ingame it behaves kinda different and 9 out of 10 times goes directly on the gk... any ideas?
Semi or manual? Try semi. Crosses are a bit tricky in game but I like it as it is.
cross and shoot is set to semi. maybe its the controller somehow, atm usnig the oldest one i have, gonna change it later
edit: changed my formation from my 4 4 2 from 15 to a 4 3 3 (the last available with the wings left and right behind the mid striker). works much better
Has free kick gotten easier again? I've had three free kicks outside the goal and two has gone in, the other hit the bar.
everything got easier. defending easy. attacking easy, just make your sure press lb often enough, free kicks almost everytime goes in without problems. fast pinball passing in the midfield without problems, just make sure the passes aren't too long. long shots go in most of the time.
they need to fix this game as soon as possible. it's fun and i don't rage as much as in the last titles but this is just bullshit. it's no challenge at all
na, freekicks havent changed. if you know what you are doing they mostly get in if the opponent isnt fast enough to place a defender on the line (which can be used for a short pass and hard shot too). but pinball passing isnt possible. unless you play to offensive and aggressive.
the golden fifa rules got extended (tbh the only golden rule the last year was: never run with your central defenders out of the defending line): get your filthy fingers away from the sprint trigger, just use it when its needed. and dont use rb to much. will make you running after the ball like the piggy in the middle. and prevent distant shots, but that was always the case, they just have a slightly higher success rate this year, which can be annoying (but can be fixed easy by ea which is making the keeper going back a little bit, they are standing to often to far away from the line)
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
I dont know why but gameplay seems to be a lot faster on "Normal" speed in Career mode than when you just play regular kick off game directly from main menu with the same game speed.

Use legacy. That way you can send teammates to tackle and not just contain. For offline legacy+player instructions makes defense a joy to play.
Btw, nice matches yesterday Janz. Sorry for the somewhat sloppy play especially in the beginning but I almost never play online and I'm kinda used to the cpu AI. Still I feel that the pace online is quite fast and I can't even imagine how bad it is with assisted controls.

took me nearly one complete game to realize you set everything to full manual (and the game did change the settings permanent).
and again i really suck at finishing in this game atm. lost 5 games in row in which i always made the game and got at really unlucky 0:1 at some point, most of the games i manage to egalize that but then the other fuckers gets another lucky goal... (testing different settings atm, shooting manual and semi, and it almsot behaves the same)

This game definitely has one of the best AI ever in a football game. The way they attack, the build-up play, the on-the-fly tactical changes. I'm very impressed.
wow the AI seems much better this year. Just watched this vid, seems like AI vs AI and i really like how they wait for the opening, no rushing to the other side or lobbing the ball to the winger every time.

Even on something like 6min halves? Or do you play on longer? Haven't tried the game yet, will soon though. And haven't really tested the demo enough to tell how much better the AI has become. But it sure sounds promising.

The new AI coding is clearly designed for 10+ minutes halves imo. I wouldn't even try to play 6 minutes halves but you can give it a go.
Found the perfect play for going up against Professional in FUT (where you have no sliders and no extended time), Counter Attack works wonders and now I actually manage to get out 6-0 to 5-1 in most of the games, where normally, even the close to 70s rated teams would score 2-3 cheaty goals.
A MUCH MUCH slower approach works wonders, especially with great playmakers in the 80s and above range. Getting the hang of trading again, buy low, sell high works really fine at the start.
