World of Tanks for example only has some clientside mods that give a small advantage, like camera mods, laser sights, tracers etc. Some of them are even allowed and used by many players so I wouldn't call them cheats.
Not to mention that if you get banned in WoT you are FUCKED. This isn't Call of Duty or some f2p shit, you'll have to buy another account or grind ALL the way back up to where you were.
And a progression system isn't cheating. Everyone can get top tier tanks in WoT.
Don't know how it is in Armored Warfare but last I checked it was a ctrl-c ctrl-v job, so I think this may be relevant to this, too.
OK, I signed in with my account at their site and I'm downloading that 20gb client. But will I be able to play it now? Or at Oct 8?
8th afaik.
I bought the expunsive founders pack the moment they announced it so head start for me tomorrow. Still can buy those if you wan't a head start, totaly worth it!
already did, last page, played closed test servers

it's same ui and gameplay, but different
arty is different, it's rapid firing, less damage, no one-shotting, and lights on map if fires 3 rounds from the same place
there are no heavy tanks, most are MBT, but a lot of other stuff, slowest tanks are ~40km/h, fastest ATVs are 90km/h
also guided rockets, composite armor, reactive armor, active armor, smoke launchers, etc..
battles seem more dynamic, if you like WoT, give it a try
Only thing I hate in WOT is stats ingame, even though it's awesome at the same time for people to see how awesome I am at the game but being focused by 3 artillery because of XVM is just dumb.
There are no real "mod exploits", and the ones that are there won't make anyone a good player anyway so it doesn't really matter.
Trust us, noobs, WoT "cheat" mods give a slight advantage towards those that don't use them, but good players are always going to win over worse ones. Those mods are just crutches for the disabled. OK ok, I was using a couple of the less banned ones
I have an idea and they won't make anyone a good player, that is a
FACT.
they probably wont make them win vs a unicum player but who the fuck cares about those 2%. The bulk of the players is casual (shit) and those mods give them an edge vs those.
Did they scale down the grind from the betas? Someone calculated it requires on average around 8-10 times as many battles to get a tier X tank, than WoT.
At T6 I prolly average closer to 2k reputation per game, the higher tier you are, the more you get.
T7 should have no trouble breakin 2k rep every game if you are good (Unicum level).
T7 to T8 shouldn't be that bad then atleast, like 250 games, in WOT it takes about 1000 games to get to T10 if you skip to like T5 or something.
It does seem it will take slightly longer than in WOT.
Good thing is though that when you spend reputation buying modules for your tanks, it counts towards the next tank so it's not like in WOT where you spend 200k exp to get all modules for a tank and then another 200k to unlock the next tank.
Much better the way AW has it if you ask me.
And being stock doesn't make you useless like it does in WOT.
You save about 55€ if you buy the expensive pack, definitely value for your money right there.
Do it!
The smaller packs come out about even if you bought it all seperately.
EDIT: I was a bit wrong there, you save about 35€ on the Lord Of War, 1€ on the middle one and lose 2€ on the first one if you don't count any value for the extra commander or title or head start you get.
the early access phases also had x2 exp booster active.
I wasn't talking about EA, I was talking about yesterday when I played 44 games.
There is a clan system in place but it is rather primitive right now.
Atleast making a clan doesn't cost a fortune like it does in WOT, it's either 4 mil credits or 230 gold.
