You can see (on the below links in particular) that there's slightly more geometry:

^^^ Open them in two tabs and click between them for it to be really obvious.

Differences in shadow and particle quality (in the explosion pic) are the only other things I can really see.

It seems negligible, but I don't know if that's a good thing considering the requirements Laughing

In one case there was also major difference in draw distance and lod:

Looks as if release times are region based. We can unlock early with a Korean VPN I am guessing ?

A good quick description is Battlefield 4.

Add Star Wars audio/music and skins.

40/40 is max players in Walker Assault mode.

Power-ups you pick up on the battlefield to use vehicles/planes and heroes.

A lot of normal Battlefield/Battlefront gameplay. Rush/die/rush/die type "let's throw more bodies at them" - gameplay.

A good thing it has going for it is the Star Wars setting.

Apparently no microtransactions, stuff is unlockable via playing.

Not gunna give a review or definite opinion as I haven't played it myself, but it looks entertaining enough at least for a short time. If it'll be interesting after a week or a few weeks, I don't know. The core gameplay looks repetitive, but in honest most FPS team based games are.

Honestly, 40 players is about the right size in Battlefield 3/4. 64 man on most of the maps is just utter and complete chaos - the maps are too small for it (conquest "large" my ass).

Then again, seeing as how the maps on Battlefront are likely to be even smaller, the 40 man will probably feel just as mindlessly chaotic.

This is very true. Razz I've always had the feeling that the 64 men on the (recent) battlefield(s) was more of a "fake" feature for marketing purposes rather than something truly doable and balanced. On the other hand, if the most played maps in BF4 are Metro/Lockdown 64, then it means that the target audience got what it wanted and was satisfied after all. Sad Laughing

Casual pick 'n play spamming and meaningless teamwork, which I imagine is exactly what Battlefront 3 is going to be built upon, with short lasting appeal like a fancier Titanfall. I'm preloading it out of curiosity but the expectations are as low as you can get :<

Ah yup! Bandar Desert rocked. It was the biggest map in any BF ever if I recall correctly, perfect for both tank battles and air ones, but also close combat when being dropped near the points. It didn't have much success sadly Okay

Operation Locker is just perfect for 32/32 match. There are some maps that are not good for that many players, but Locker, Metro are simply perfect!

It's just a mindless "meat for the grinder map" that's not good with any amount of players. Any map or mode that lacks the full compliment of land and air vehicles is unworthy of being in Battlefield - if people want that trash they should be playing COD or CS.

Anyway, back on topic, has there been any confirmation on whether we can unlock this early via the ole VPN Korea trick? Or is it a simultaneous launch the world over? I've read conflicting reports.
