Probably more heroes to come. From Reddit.

Quote:
If you are on PC, find the location of the folder which is in program files, origin games, and battlefront, click on the data folder, then the win32 folder. Once in there, there will be a file called, "characters.sb" after doing some searching, opening it with notepad, I searched for heroes by clicking Ctrl+F,

This is the list of all the heroes so far from what I can tell Smile *Luke Skywalker (obviously) *Darth Vader (obviously Smile *Boba Fett (also obviously)

Han Solo (search solo in that character.sb folder)

file directors in the notepad are proof enough sound/vo/heroes/hansolo/sw01_vo_heroes_hansolo_auto_inworld_killsbobafett

_rebel_gm_herohunt_radio_hansolospawn (WE ARE GETTING A FUCKING HERO HUNT GAMEMODE....maybe)

*Princess Leia

yup. heres some proof

_gm_herohunt_radio_leiadefeated sound/vo/heroes/leia/sw01_vo_heroes_leia_auto_inworld_killsvader

*THE FUCKING EMPEROR

proof Smile sound/vo/heroes/emperor/sw01vo_heroes_emperor_auto_inworld sw01_vo_heroes_emperor_auto_inworld_forcepower1

Not sure if it does, but it was running at 60 non stop maxed out @ 1440p. No performance issues whatsoever. But then I don't know why there would be any. It looks okay, but nothing earth shatteringly amazing.

There were loads of initial issues for me in BF4, and there aren't any here.

How do you get to pilot anything? Unlocks? That was the only thing I didn't get to try

powerups for such things like flying and using other vehicles are around the battlefield. Like the rocket launcher and ground cannon mountings etc.

After you pick up a hero or vehicle power-up you only have like 10 or less seconds to use it; and when you use it you won't always spawn somewhere relevant...

Sometimes you can spend most of the time as a hero just getting to the enemy which is pretty shitty.

Played like 30 mins, runs over 60 fps all times maxed out @ 3440x1440 on sig rig, maxes out GPU usage all times and utilizes nicely i7. Game looks typical Frostbite engine game, so graphics are clean and good (this time looks very plastic at times tho, and shitloads of bloom). Sounds are fucking awesome, Dice knows their shit. Game itself feels derp, but somehow its fun to play, would not buy this tho.

Then we're back to "looked good on paper, thanks" Mr. Green Nice screenies tho but BF4 did that well enough already.

Let me put it this way: the graphics look great. These textures, wow. And it runs smooth? I'll try the beta tomorrow.

I had some fun trying an AT-ST, they have their basic laser, a mortar and a rocket both on cooldowns. If you don't play very aggressively you can pick off a lot of people. I see AT-ST drivers just walk into the thick of it and get themselves killed within a minute that's not really helping. AT-ST works good as support. I really miss classes and something even resembling structure. Everyone just rushes everywhere, don't expect a drop of coordination.

The overall gameplay is pretty standard run and gun stuff, the infantry weapons don't feel that powerful, but they sound great.

The best sounds I've heard so far is the AT-AT lasers and a power-up grenade called the Implosion grenade or similar.

I turned off ambient occlusion and some other nonsense and the game runs okay for me.

One of the dullet shooters I've played, nothing stands out, it's not even fun for a short period of time.

I actually enjoyed Negro Ops 3 better than this. Laughing

Mjeh, runs nice and such... but so not my kind of game.
Feels like a light shooter trying to sway me over by playing on my emotions with the whole Star Wars music/world.

Just played a couple of quick matches (not the AT ones because the herpa derp matchmaking wouldn't let me, welcome to 2015: EA Odyssey), this game makes me so angry. Razz
Because the aesthetics are amazing, the sounds are epic, it runs like butter (always above the 60fps on Ultra here), but the gameplay itself...it's just dull men.

Super fast, barely no tactics involved, just run in circles and pew like a prettier CoD. Will play more tomorrow, but I have not been entertained much sadly, there's little depth just as expected. As for the matchmaking, there's not much to say really, it's a disgrace.
