True, this has even simpler shooting mechanics and is smaller in scale.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

To be honest I wouldn't be surpised if this game would face the same destiny as Hardline. Yes this is Star Wars and it must sell like hell but still.

Typical denial! Cool Face It screams Battlefield, literally. That's not really Battlefront.

It will sell a lot, that's sure thing, but in the end it's not going to have as many people playing as BF4. I enjoy it a lot though, if anything because of the Star Wars theme everywhere. They "nailed it" in that part Twisted Evil Very Happy

I consider myself a huge Star Wars fan and while this looks absolutely great, the gameplay itself is mediocre at best. I have both this and Armored Warfare installed and I think I have maybe 3 matches in this while I'm almost tier 4 in AW. So much wasted potential Sad

This sums it up for me. AW has kept me very interested, Battlefront, not so much. I'm almost t4 in AW myself.

Damn.. it looks like 4.2GHz is not enough for glorious PC Master Race gameplay anymore. Laughing A guy with essentially the same config as mine but running i7 at 4.7GHz (his fury isn't even unlocked) was getting +10-15 fps more than me Crying or Very sad )

Sadly my CPU is really bad overclocking wise.. I couldn't even push it to 4.5 GHz..

For what it's worth, I'm pretty much running 50-60 (vsync) on Ultra on my setup, I'm actually really surprised by the performance considering how good it looks. Sometimes it'll drop down to low 50s in high visual "splendour" areas, such as intense combat, but for the most part it's pretty solid.

Did you hear me complain? I praised how well it was running considering it, like BF4 too, look better than any other FPS on the market... with the possible exception of ARMA3 Laughing Do I think I should be getting 60-144fps at all times on maximum settings? Yes, of course I do. Am I happy with what I have? Yes.

What's the problem?

Yeah, same. Sometimes it's fun to jump in for a short while but overall, it just feels dull. Every game is always the same and that could just be because of the incredibly limited beta of two maps, two characters, two heroes, two game modes.

Thats still not remotely enough diversity and WHERE THE FACK are the player classes (ie. Imperial Scouts, Standard, H.Weapons, Special Ops, Officers, etc). And thats just for starters compared to other BFs from the past. Seems like the facking gaming industry just throws pretty GFX and SOUND like coating a lada engine in a Ferrari plexi-sheet.

EA.. always catering to the dumbed-down tard-nation of ADHD basement dwellers. Mad

Preeeetty sure basement dwellers play something like Dwarf Fortress and not casual console couch games. If EA actually carter to basement dwellers with AAA games we will be in the golden age of hardcore games, and not what we have right now.

Star Wars Battlefront Prioritizes Frame Rate Over Resolution

Beta runs at 900p on PlayStation 4 and 720p on Xbox One instead of full 1080p, Andersson said, "Frame rate and fidelity is indeed king; don't want to sacrifice it for resolution. But a choice each game team does."

Game mechanics are identical to Battlefield but who exactly doubted that? It was crystal clear as day years ago.

But visuals and sound and atmosphere are great and it is good playable.

I'm actually quite surprised by how much I enjoyed the beta, but it's a shame to see Dice and EA once more splintering and destroying the community with restrictive addon/"DLC" bullshit. Anyone buying the base game will be instantly at a substantial disadvantage.. way to go

EA took a similar approach as Bethesda did with Fallout 4.

Announcing a Season Pass, but stating that "they don't know what the DLCs will be yet, but rest assured it'll be worth the price asked".

This is to bypass complaints that DLC "X" and DLC "Y" was cut from the vanilla game at release.

What both companies are doing is really toxic.

Claiming ignorance to avoid having to explain themselves essentially.

Giving anyone money in advance should warrant pause and reflection. These are big established companies. They don't need your money to get their games made. EA, Bethesda and others should be content selling their games at release when customers have the opportunity to see or read about what they're actually paying for.
