Oh, come on! People still use Oblivion's horse armor as an example of everything that's wrong with DLC, even though since then there's been shitloads of MUCH worse DLC ripoffs.

The horse armor at least had some utility, though it's not like the horses in Oblivion were taking so much damage to need it... It WAS mainly bling, but still - it did affect the gameplay in a degree.

So how about the content locked from the game but already included in the data on the disc/installer? Shouldn't THAT be the poster example of "DLC is eevuhl!!" instead of some horse armor? Razz

I think press copies are not even protected these days. They are probably just tagged discreetly and there is a nda attached so people who get them are very unlikely to leak them since they would lose any kind of access forever.

And most of them are PS4/XBONE versions so there is no possibility of them being leaked.

I'm more interested in building settlements and stuff tbh. A proper post-apocalyptic warlord needs a proper castle\keep or whatever Laughing I wonder though..Will we be able to tax people who live in our settlements? Cool

No you will not be able to tax people.
You will be able to improve peoples living conditions and improve life for them with various amenities and constructions. In return they give you access to unique things through trading, what they give you access to is dependent upon the 'happiness' rating in that particular settlement.
And you'll be able to setup caravans between settlements if you have more than one settlement. I think you will be able to make money from that.

I want to bring a party of them, have them do combo-kills, do small-chatter etc. Also multiple people to carry my stuff is always better than one. Its one of those things in the 3d Fallout games that doesn't make sense. You know you're playing a video game when it tells you it is not humanly possible to walk around with more than one person following you. #myimmersionisruined

Bethesda can make characters recognize a narrow way or an entrance in 2015. I believe in them. The human race has been to the Moon, and we've found water on Mars.
