Neither ALI213 nor 3DM releases are working atm. Black screen and then close. Also quite possibly they are missing language files because they are based on pre-releases. More time required for a working release.

Same here: Short blackscreen then crashes with 3DM crack.
Seems those damn chinese don't check their "cracks" anymore, as they sadly don't have any competent competitors left.

The missing language files wont stop it from starting. I have a legit copy and its actually missing the language files too. It still starts but there is no speech.

I have full audio.
Then again, I did buy this on uPlay. Figured, all EA games I'll get on Origin, all Ubi games will be uPlay, rest a crapshoot between Steam and GOG

Game is great! They managed to fix some annoying shit but managed to introduce other odd stuff which will take some time to adjust.
So, some things have been streamlined while other things have gone up in complexity. You actually have to manage population now. And not just in terms of numbers, but employment as well.
I do like what I see so far. Graphics are awesome, they're bringing down my AMD 390x card to it's knees lol. Hope AMD will release a enhanced driver soon for this game.

I'd agree with the streamline and added complexity, taking a break after several hours but I'm really enjoying the game. The visual's were a surprise, playing it between medium and high (GTX780) the arctic landscape looks phenomenal.
I'd like to disable bloom (going to look through config files now) as i haven't found a means to disable or reduce it in the options. Seriously fuck the guy that created bloom, basically take a great looking game and apply Vaseline/blur to fuck up the experience.

It was called postprocessing in previous games. Hope they didn't remove it, they were unplayable with bloom at max.

This is really streamlined. Now that trade routes and pretty much everything else are no longer physical, it is a lot easier to manage cities. Can't imagine hardcore fans would like that, but I prefer it this way.
Not having to build house around a town center and leap frogging supply depot is great. Instead of having limitations, they did something more interesting, like the arctic houses need to build within heat. But every factory generates heat around itself, so you don't have to build a specific building to expand your city limits.
Crisis zones are like mini RTS combat missions. Not sure how I feel about that. I didn't like the stupid pirates getting in the way of my city building, but having them physically there to disrupt me makes it more interesting than them being somewhere else. However since I would rather skip combat, this is good. Aside from the first one, it seems it is mostly optional afterwards.
But my biggest doubt is the lack of randomly generated maps. Instead of being a city builder / economy sim game, this is more like a management game. Like a mobile management game (with everything tied into a large career rather than just a map) but its content hugely expanded with excellent presentation and controls.
Performance-wise. It is ok. I play on everything max with 40-60fps except only 2xAA since 8x seems to really tank the framerate when there are buildings on screen. Anno 2070 was also kind of bad, but I could live with this.
Overall this series continues to be one of best. Might not have too much depth in terms of micromanagement and city planning, but it also has a good amount of content from what I can tell. Because of how they are doing climate, they can very easily add another one into the game. I'd imagine that is what the major DLCs would be.

Do they have proper UI scaling this time or I'll need again a new pair of eyes?

Playing this for about a hour now.
It's pretty fun.
I like those combat mission too.
Several features seem to be even more streamlined than in the last game indeed. But it doesn't bother me.
And graphics are pretty sexy.

Does the Codex release suffer from the sound problem also? I assume it will

Do you mean the language packs? Turned out it wasn't a game's problem. The packs were available for download or something like this.
Anyone could inform me about the fonts? Are they sizeable, tiny, medium, large? I have my system hooked on the main TV that's why I'm asking.
