Oh it will certainly SHIP that many... but as for SELLING? Yeah... good luck with that, EA Laughing When they don't sell 13m, they'll just whine that it "didn't meet their expectations" and shut down all the servers Laughing

Think a lot will be masked by the Star Wars sales... I do think in a few months the feel will have been worn off and you end up with a low population.

Creating more shooters is actually shooting in their own foot. Would make more sense to create these as expansion packs to their own BF4. Keep the population in one place. I'm sure EA is scummy enough to get away with a full priced expansion so... Razz

I might have bought it for cheap, if it actually was like BF4 reskinned with Star Wars.
But the current state is just too dumbed to cater for the casual plague.

Meh, I paid $40 for the base game and by the time any content is actually out for the Season Pass it'll probably be available for around $20-25 - so a grand total of $60-$65 at most.

Anyone that pays $120 out of the gate like an idiot deserves to be robbed of his money! Laughing

As soon as the movie hits the big screens, they'll shift loads of copies. Even some people who didn't plan on buying the game will probably end up buying it as soon as the big hype machine starts rolling.

And yet, everyone is still rushing to buy it. Even Angry Joe posted on his video how disappointed he is... yet five minutes lately "I'm still going to buy the game", he whines how EA are "making it really hard" and yet he's still buying.

Everyone is still buying, thus validating everything EA has ever done or ever will do. Take a bow, everyone, you're fucking marvellous.

It's a lot to do with little choice - I mean, especially for us PC owners, when was the last time a AAA game came out and we all collectively went 'Oooh!' when we first played it?

The Witcher 3 is probably the only example I can think of.

Indie games are all well and good, but let's face it, they don't have the budget or the skilled people to bring out top quality games that are more than just 2d pixel art or RPG Maker made games - or pretty graphics with very shallow gameplay.

EA, Ubi, Acti, they all know this - they have no reason to try too hard, as long as it looks pretty and has something like a Dorito-powered space gun, they know their target audience will lap it up, regardless of quality.

Gaming as we know it has long since died, to be replaced with greed, sloth and emptiness.

according tot hat angry joe rant video. What you're getting is early access to 3 weapons in game which can be unlocked by everyone anyway, 2 emotes of storm troopers doing a little dance and the season pack?. Was there anything else, as that's a hell of a lot of money to pay for a season pack and 2 crappy dancing storm trooper emotes.

Nope. Just 2 stupid emotes, instant access to weapons/cards that you can unlock within a few matches anyway, and DLC content that hasn't even been announced yet. Just get the Standard edition for $40, or as low as you can find it, if you're interested in it.
