These are the fucking people we DON'T want in gaming. You could even choose a female character in the PS2 "Brotherhood of Steel" - this kind of shit is exactly what so many gamers are fighting against Mad Oh and they've since removed that line, but haven't issue an error correction statement. lol videogame journalism, why do you even bother taking it seriously bro. It's only video games not like it's important.

Read & Write large amounts of data on the same HD takes VERY long and decoding of steam preloads takes ages

As Janz and hirschq said; it's all about IOPS and mechanical drives have significantly few operations per second, if you're decrypting to an SSD then you can mitigate that a lot as even the weakest SSD has orders of magnitudes greater IOPS.

You get used to it when you don't know better Laughing

Seriously though, after GPU (I still got a 6870) upgrade I'll look for an SSD and big HD.

Hope i can even play FO4 on low settings... GTA V ran fine on low to medium settings. Witcher 3 had some rare drops to 20-30 fps, but forgivable because of it's epicness.

Supposedly unlockers will appear on your favorite online DL sources, which you then place in the depotcache folder. Executable maybe? Correct me if im wrong.

dunno which tool is atm the usual one, but should work with commandline tools like sisinstall without problems if you have the decryption keys. just check out the usual places after its unlocked

@fadeout: would recommend a ssd upgrade besides the gfx update, its a day and night difference and you get 256gb ssds for less than 80euros

I presume it's sisInstall. At least that the one that was used "back in the day" Smile

But you still need decrypt key files for it to work...

yep, 256gb is more than enough for os + all programs + a few games you play often and which profit from the ssd (mostly games with bigger loading times, i.e. bf4 on ssd is worth it. batcrap cause of the streaming, gta cause of streaming and for example in d3 it can save your ass if it loads a few secs faster)

Thanks for the information. Might get an SSD before new GPU after all. I'll see at the end of the month.

Yeah, probably. I just cannot afford any high-end GPU atm. GTX 750/760 might be doable, but I doubt It'll make that much of an improvement.

EDIT: 960 might be the best bung for buck atm?
