No, I say "well too bad for you, you are one of the only one hating the game".
Just like when I hate games like Skyrim, Morrowind, (Fallout 4?), Dark Souls, etc : too bad for me, I wish i'd like them considering their metacritic and people praising them in most forums including NFOHUMP.
You still don't understand do you ? What I despise is people bashing me for saying such things. Yep, that was a terribly mean post.

And yes it's all about standards, if something is not up to standards you criticise it. But for some reason some idiots here think its all/only because it is a timed exclusive or other nonsense.

I never said that Fallout 4 / Skyrim etc were crappy mediocre game either.
They must be good if it has such ratings. If I don't like them, it must be MY PROBLEM, not everybody else.
This is exactly my point. If you don't like a game that has 90 meteoritic, it's your problem, not people that praised the game.

The fuck am i reading here? Buddy, did you have a look at game journalism lately? They just wrote a Fallout 4 article where they were marveling at how you can make a female character for the first time. You being able to do this since 1997.
Gamespot, a bunch of years ago fired its chief editor for giving Kane&Lynch a low grade when the site was plastered with promotional materials from the games publisher. Also gamespot started Pillars of Eternity's review saying how Planescape Torment is it's favourite game, then proceded to downgrade the game because it has too much reading. Torment having the highest amount of dialogue in any game ever made.
Just recently a game journo played Uncharted 2 and wrote an article about how Uncharted 4 looks pretty similar to Uncharted 2. For Metal Gear Solid 5 they took reviewers to a camp, where they had supervised, fixed time table to play. No one there finished the game or played it in depth, because it was physically impossible to do it in the timeframe that they had. Then said journos procedded to write about the game and giving it 10/10's.
So if these mouth breathers that can't identify correctly which game they're playing say something about a game, it must be true and it must be something wrong with me if i say different ?

Anyhow, what is true is that I like Rise of the Tomb Raider. If you read previous posts here, I got blamed for liking it and its QTE.
I had the unfortunate to like this game. Back to the victim state I guess.

you just have to accept that around these parts, lara is a derp, and treated as such. we will all play the game, but will sulk the whole time while doing it, except during the boob close ups.
and when we finish the game, we will rate it derp/10. that's just how we roll here.
You are just easy to pick on because you obviously care about this game enough to defend it.
If you enjoy the game, who cares what everyone else thinks.

I sure don't, but you don't seem in the knowing of the fact that I'm actually not free to post my liking about this game here and get laughed at. Else obviously this topic would be empty of such useless posts.
Basically, my posts in nfohump are : "I like this part". Then I get answered "LOL console peasant, sure you like it, you are a fucking derp ahahahahahah go play with a gamepad". This is my only complain. When I'm directly attacked, then I can't ignore it.
Welcome back to a few weeks ago but I won't enter into details, if you are interested in the back story, go a few pages before.
I think it's better to end it here and post proper informations about the game, just like i was doing a few weeks ago until...

I agree with you Cyclone. The scores are very good, but just because the developers weren't allowed to add zombies and endless Alex Weiss mode for schedule-related reasons, it doesn't mean that the game shouldn't achieve the GOATSY metacritic status and receive the long-awaited golden mountain dew from the dorito pope himself.
A score of 87 is epic but still a robbery to me...I now feel betrayed by gaming review sites, they can't appreciate art and the amount of efforts put into conveying the right vibrato in Lara's moaning, or the excellent timing of quick time events that involves the player like no other game does. At least IGN gave it a fair 9.3, so perhaps I won't cancel my VIP Prime subscription, but still, points still stand!

Might be because you think things like post counts are what matters, Accusing people of a certain behaviour but then doing exactly the same... could be a lot of things.
Maybe you should question yourself about that.
Btw I thought I had to fuck off to the 'PC master race' section... but when I'm doing that it seems you are still not satisfied. What is up with that.

played the 360 version a bit, its a great game. friend send me a video of the actual xbox one gameplay he just recorded and boy it looks amazing. hopefully they deliver a good pc port

If they did then they would have made the biggest mistake they could and they would prolly say something like this: "The game didn't sell very well because people didn't buy it and therefore didn't liked it so we're gonna shove tomb raider in some shithole never to be seen again for a long time."
Well I tried the X360 version. Looks good for a console that old, but it aint (imo) a great game but rather a good game/average game. Only having played about an hour or so, but stopped as I fell asleep, lol. Anyway might play it further on x360 or when the PC version comes out if I still haven't played it. Well must say I wasn't a big fan of the reboot tomb raider was rather an average game imo not bad but not great either. Maybe just tomb raider aint my style. Also never played the previous games but whatever.

I have both and the 360 version isn't that bad with the title update when you don't have an xbone.
That being said it s a no brainer when you have the choice obviously.

it is, runs "fine" (for 360 standards) till you get to the area where you can do the optional radio tower stuff. in that area it has harder slowdowns than before, but the worst is the part after that when you get a machine gun for the first time, single digits while fighting enemys and you shoot up some barrels
