Holy fuck, how handy it is just to make place and put containers down for storage now Need somewhere to store your armour? No problem, just put it here. Need a place for your guns? No problem, just put it right under the gun crafting table (yes it's possible)
Gonna leave the graphics settings on Medium now, until the shit fps things are taken care of (Lexington, huge areas and else). Might throw a SweetFX preset on instead.
@djaoni They're no fans if they're just rushing through.
"Boooongo bongo bongo i dont wanna leave the congo nonononononooooooo"

I've got a few of these, is there a way to make them available anywhere by use of a settler or something?
I don't want to fast travel, and these chests I've made are pretty far from one another
I suppose if you use crafting benches for storage?
Currently only made them in the RR safehouse, the only way to combine the inventories, at least for crafting is setting up the caravans, don't know if there's something for what you're trying to achieve.

Any weight mod yet? Always running out of things to carry.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

People actually listen to the songs rather than the haunting and delicious original score?
Hmm, I find the ambiance music kinda bland and boring. And I couldn't find the music files anywhere, like in FO3, so I cannot replace them with the haunting and delicious music from FO1-2.
The more I play the more I like it. The atmosphere is better than FO3, game feels more "focused", the settlements/build feature is a nice touch and I love the new VATS system.
The dialogue system is ridiculous but we can't do anything as these companies want to sell copies on consoles. Look at Wasteland 2 and DoS console sales... Nobody bought these 2 games because they have a full conversation system that makes you READ and DECIDE. This is unacceptable in a world that creates and favours dumb people...
Oh! I have little trouble finding copper. Any advice? Thanks.
Is there a way to share the stuff (mostly junk for crafting) i leave in settlement workshop between all settlements i have?
Isn't that what one of the later perks do?
(Leadership or something, shared "trading" between all owned settlements so the crafting station stash is accessible from any workbench.)
That's a crafting guide, which also shows what things have what material inside. If you need anything in particular you can tag the craftable item missing copper so it shows you all junk that uses it with a magnifying glass.

I've warmed up to the game after playing a bit more. The performance issues are largely solved by lowering shadow distance to medium, which results in nearly solid 60 FPS. The UI feels clunky as hell but after getting used to it I guess I could call it serviceable. But it is in desperate need of a mod.
As for the game itself, well, it's a Bethesda game. The world, exploration and atmosphere are all great. Combat is a big improvement over 3/NV. Settlement building is pretty cool as well, which surprised me, since i'm not usually into that type of gameplay. As long as you're okay with playing a Fallout spin-off shooter with some RPG elements, I think you're gonna have a lot of fun, because you're certainly not gonna find even a NV-like RPG experience here, let alone something resembling FO1/2.
The dialogue system is still a steaming pile of shit though. I mostly hate the fact that you have no idea what you're actually going to say when you're choosing an answer. As red_avatar suggested, replacing the "yes-no-sarcastic" crap with the first lines of corresponding dialogue would be a huge improvement. Not being limited to 4 choices at a time and more stat checks would've been great as well, but since that would automatically involve more of Bethesda's, ahem, wonderful writing, I don't think we're missing much. Now if they let Obsidian make another Fallout game (pls Bethesda!), that's a whole other story.
hello i exit vault 111 very beginning when vault opens and you go outside i'm on the platform and can't move my keyboard ingame doesn't response my mouse work and i can alt tab back to windows but exit and other functions ingame don't work

just type in console
player.modav carryweight 9256 (or any other number u like )
Oooh, I like that. That's a much more elegant solution.. thank you!
You filthy cheaters!
Seriously the inventory management is such a chore that it's basically necessity. If carry weight perk added 250 every point, instead of silly 25, I'd consider investing into that.
So, anyone find a T51 set that is guaranteed not to be in a place that scales the loot with level? I exhausted 4 locations already that were told to have the armor, and all only had the T60 because I leveled beyond the T51.
