It's the replacement to AlterIW that sprung up after half the AIW team quit during the Activision stuff. Originally it was only for Steam-legit versions of the game, in order to legalise it and keep Activision off their case, but now it seems it's open to everyone.

Have you seen the teleporting enemy of late GL.
I play a game (rarely) or two with reactIW version where there are 3 servers up consistently, but never anyone on when you want them |

I played the legit version like 1 y ago and it was full of cheaters and hackers.
The game became sadly unplayable. Maybe legit Steam servers are worse I dunno. But this is really sad and I can't understand how people can even enjoy cheating in this game.
It really killed it and it has no purpose playing it anymore.

I played AlterIW or whatever it was called back when it had an active playerbase.
I had one match, and the admin who was on the opposite team getting his buttocks handed to him by my team decided to cheat.
It was one of the most pathetic displays of online gaming I've seen.

I beat a hacker on this game years ago. He was running wall hacks, aimbots the works and the fucker lost. I had to play out of my skin to do it though. He had the better k/d ratio but still, beat him on points. That's pretty friggin' shameful to be honest though. using cheats and still losing.

It also happened in FEAR, the number one player at the time 'Sailor' was getting it handed to him and he turned on his cheats.. C&C too, all the the top 10 were using cheats, you couldn't get on the leaderboard unless you used them yourself. I think back in the day people did it to maintain their position, no one likes to drop. Nowadays though, even though I don't play competitively anymore, it's probably harder to cheat in official matches, with the advances in technology and streaming, recording services. Far more likely to be caught out.
