Hi Gammatsunami,

We’ve been working with our development and graphics driver partners over the last few months to investigate utilizing multi-GPU support within Batman: Arkham Knight. The result was that even the best case estimates for performance improvements turned out to be relatively small given the high risk of creating new issues for all players. As a result we’ve had to make the difficult decision to stop work on further multi-GPU support. We are disappointed that this was not practical and apologize to those who have been waiting for this feature.

I extracted some of the 3d models of this game and they are inpractical for a 3d game engine. If all game assets are like this, then no wonder it runs so bad and requires cosmic hardware.

The UE viewer should work better to show how it's set up, it's using a number of different LOD levels. Smile

http://www.gildor.org/en/projects/umodel

Maybe not the most user friendly of utilities but it should have a GUI now instead of being strictly command-line, really useful for checking 3D models in UE3 (And now also UE4) games although it needs to be updated on a per game basis and some games having heavily customized the default code might never be completely compatible though Arkham Knight is one of the games that do work with UModel / UE Viewer.

I tried to wear my scientist coat but alas I couldn't find it. One thing is for sure though, unlike this game, she does support SLI Very Happy Laughing

Harley Quinn short story.
Red Hood short story.
Batwoman episode.

I think that's all, oh and a few racing maps for the Batcar.
(Unfortunately the non-tank looking skins for said car are almost always restricted to the racetrack levels.)

Another update is out on Steam for this game.

EDIT:
http://steamcommunity.com/games/208650/announcements/detail/128713039396595557

Quote:

Hi Everyone,

The latest patch for Batman: Arkham Knight was released today and contains the following updates:

Fixed a hitch during some game saves
Fixed a Windows 10 issue causing the game to be unresponsive on launch when the keyboard language was set to Japanese, Japanese Microsoft IME, Korean, Chinese (Traditional) or Chinese (Simplified)
Fixed minor delay when aiming a gadget when playing with a keyboard and mouse
Fixed a bug causing full screen movies to play at half the monitor’s refresh rate on some systems
Fixed players sometimes not being able to counter the Mini-Gun Brute after being spotted when playing as Nightwing or Batman
Fixed a performance drop that occurred when encountering Man-Bat for the first time
Fixed some Multi-Monitor specific bugs
Some improvements to mouse and keyboard bindings
Improved VRAM management to reduce framerate hitches
Stability improvements for rare crash issues
Fixed an issue causing certain types of lights & shadows to render incorrectly
Fixed an issue causing the game process to occasionally remain running in the background for a period of time
Fixed the Knightfall Protocol not being able to activate under certain conditions
Fixed a progression blocker that could occur in Stagg Airships when leaving the predator room after only knocking out one of the guards
Fixed damage states for Batman’s V8.03 skin in Story Mode after selecting an alternate skin for AR Challenges
Fixed missing rain effects on several Batman skins (fix for 1970s and Arkham Origins skins coming soon)
Added support for new DLC releasing on November 24th
Play as other characters in AR predator challenges

2.1 GB download, a couple of nice fixes although performance isn't mentioned though VRAM usage has either increased or decreased to alleviate hitching.
(The rain effect should be OK now on most suits and the default suit should now correctly remember damage states between outfit switches.)

EDIT: And yeah SLI and Crossfire are probably both out forever, interestingly there's Crossfire data for the game in the new AMD drivers but I doubt it works properly, something with what they've done with UE3 or what it was that caused problems for them when they tried to make it multi-GPU compatible, minimal gains was another reason although it could just have been a excuse to not try and improve it further / work on it more.

A second 2.1 GB patch just started downloading. Likely the DLC since it has just been added to the Arkham Knight sub.

Better performance after patch, can now have everything maxed except Gameworks fog and paper and still get 50 fps when gliding and now I get 50 in batmobile which was never the case before. Still drops to 45 sometimes while gliding but for the most part it's about what I'd expect from my 780 in 1080. Certainly running way better than AC: Syndicate now which I can't even maintain a steady 45. Oh, Rain effects are STILL broken.

Didn't they fix them in the very first patch?

They did, then they broke as soon as you loaded a save. Then they broke them again so not even starting a new game gave you the right effects.
