Especially after win8 fucked up multiple injections per exe and couldn't run sweetfx and fraps at the same time anymore or combining it with steam overlay etc.
Plus very handy to have a recording buffer. Even have dedicated HDD for that. Whenever ingame something worth recording happened, I can always quickly save the recording

I haven't played any AC since Black flag (I've got bored with this one too...). Syndicate runs OKish for me. 1080p, high except shadows medium, SSAO, FXAA. 40-55fps in London just. Need to play more though. Tbh I like the English setting but I'm sure it will be boring after a while as every AC game.

For some games a gamepad is indeed better, with the AC series for example, I've always preferred to use a gamepad over KB+M. But that might be due to playing it from the very beginning with pad (first on 360, later on pc), as KB+M was actually really shitty to use till around AC3.

mouse+kb is pain in the ass in ac, cause the game is designed to be played with a stick -> the char moves faster if you move the stick further. not possible with keyboard buttons, just walk with one button and slowwalk that button + another button. nothing between that

@prudislav Well if you play like a casual rushing everything, you're free to do so, others enjoy that, so don't moan if you don't like it. A gamepad is an input device, just like a keyboard, or a wheel.

Very hard to take anyone serious when saying AND DEFENDING a statement that claims a gamepad control scheme is more precise than M&Kb - even in specific games.
I KNOW Ass Creed games have a flawed M&Kb control, due to being insulting console ports (in SOME aspects - like controls). But still... claiming such things makes one wonder... are you even... serious?!

Gamepads can be more precise due to analogue input. Try playing a soccer game with mouse and keyboard, and then with a gamepad. I think you know very well what he meant.

I think anyone did. I could not get past the slow, robotic, rigid controls the pad provides (Xbox controller).
DSFix + DSMFix + M&Kb were superior in any way.
BUT, that's just me. As I am a CS player at heart and am used to have absolute control over cursor, mouse, aim reticule, camera, aim speed - even at 1px value. Heh. |
