That may break things, but it doesn't corrupt the save.

I didn't care to differentiate the two as a save with a broken quest line might as well be corrupt, depending on the quest. Razz

Most immersion breaking bs quests is the ones I get from my own bloody settlements worried about ghouls being a "threat", meanwhile my settlements have 200 defense with multiple high level turrets that will make short work of them, but not only that, the ghouls are on the other side of the god damn map, not even close to that settlement. Also, those blabering idiots in my settlements almost never recognizing who I am.

Also those "failed" defenses, were i go to that base after they tell me i failed to defended and all i find is a lot of corpses of the attackers and nothing damaged in my base or anything, is it just cause I didn't bother to go ? Thats why i built the god damn defenses, so i don't have to be there all the god damn time.

Would also be nice if the main quest had some triggers to recognise, hey ... guess what, this guy actually did a lot of shit before doing the main quest, maybe not act as if he/she is a complete idiot nobody. People constantly telling me how I'm way in over my head and its so dangerous and whatever, meanwhile I control most of the wasteland, have several suits of fully upgraded power armor and can call massive volleys of artilary pretty much anywhere on the map. Honestly, ever since I've started going in to the story its ruined my enjoynment of the game.

But there are massive issues with the entire game anyway outside of that, I was fortunate enough to not encounter any game breaking bugs and only had a few minor ones, also performance has been solid. That being said, there is no RPG in this Fallout game, the stat/perk system is awful, most of the stats don't matter, like perception, it only affects shit in vats, if you don't use vats you can probably not bother wasting points in it, The fact that perks are even tied to atributes is dumb, whats dumber is that most of the deep investing perks aren't really better/good, so there is no point in going for them. The dialog system is garbage, the writing is shit and the main story is what I expect to have written when I was in second grade.

The inventory system is shit, I never understand why RPGs have this need to place arbitrary weight limit, why ? Its already dumb that you can carry so much shit, so why make a dumb limit like that ? in most RPGs it wouldn't matter, but since you have to get so much shit for your settlements its just busy work and pads the game since all it does is make you leave shit behind and come back for it, or use the god damn console command to get more space. Here's why the limit is even dumber though, I'd understand if the limit was meant to force you to choose what you need more, make hard decisions on what to take, but no .. You can just go back later and take whatever you left, there's no penalty, theres nothing, even at the basest thing you have no choice in this game, so what is the point ?

The fact that its set 200 years later breaks the entire worlds immersion the moment you think about it even a bit, it makes no sense that people haven't rebuilt more, Diamond City is a shitty little slum, why is there so much shit still lying around to collect ? and just on and on, endless problems with the setting.

How is it that those mosquito fuckers can puncture you through power armor and deal most of your hp, just like normal ? In fact, power armor feels extremely weak, especially considering its "limitation"(not really since you find power cells all over the place) and i honestly feel stronger without it.

Diamond city radio is shit, the new guy is horrible, I liked it at first since it was kind of cool to have someone completely shit at his job, but he has like 2-3 lines that he just repeats constantly, holy fuck does it get annoying to hear how the vault dweller helped the Brotherhood of steel for the 200th time.

There is no sense of progression in this game short of what you make for yourself, the random drops from elites are generally absolute garbage, the building system is horribly flawed and really pointless, and the list can go on, I'm already rambling way too much, but honestly this game has so many issues ...

That being said, i have spent more then 72 hours in this game already and a lot of it is oddly addictive to me, i love exploring and they did a good job on it, I love building my settlements to be perfect, even though they are completely useless, there's just something that compels me to work on them and overall I enjoyed most of my time, despite of all its flaws. Thinking back on it though, I think a lot of it has to do with the setting, if this wasn't a post-apocalyptic or maybe even more importantly in the Fallout universe, I highly doubt I would have bothered with it, if this was a fantasy setting I'd probably dislike this game a lot.

Pretty much sums this game up from what I've seen.

I haven't even downloaded it yet. I want patches and mods to make it into a challenging RPG. And I want it to run well on my PC. I'm playing Fallout NV with mods actually, hehehe.

I've already had to do that once when a questline ground to a halt, and now it seems I'll have to do it again. Got a quest marker to kill a guy on the corpse of the guy I already killed. The wiki says there's supposed to be a second guy, but he's nowhere to be seen.

Bethesda's writers also give good head. Same reason why the male PC voice actor got the job.

@Kezmark

Yep. It's just so lazy. It's like it was all one big prank. You were just asleep for a month lol. This is what happens to society when the internet goes down. Enjoy.

The problem with Bethesda is they always spend too much time polishing up the intro (I guess to hype up the game). Then the rest of the game is just meh as far as execution goes. They also need to stop making it so there's a feeling that you need to rush things. I mean, it really doesn't make sense to slowly comb every dungeon in the map when you have important main quest stuff to do considering what just happened at the start of the game.

End of the day I hope they let Obsidian make another FO game. And I hope Obsidian decides to drop voice main character. Helps with the budget, helps with better story telling.

To be fair, I haven't actually crashed since I turned up fan speed on my video card. I've played around with spawning 10 of those super mutant behemoth's in Sanctuary and Diamond City. Maybe this patch will break that. lol

Yeah, I talked to Preston in Sanctuary and he was like "yo, this settlement has trouble. Check it out". A quest appears... "TROUBLE IN SANCTUARY HILLS" Poker Face So I go to the random settler 5 meters next to me Laughing and she's all "HEY ARE YOU FROM THE MINUTEMEN BECAUSE THERE ARE GHOULS". BITCH, I'm the fucking general of the minuteman, why do you even ask, you live in MY SETTLEMENT. You take care of MY WEAPONS SHOP that I BUILT FOR YOU AND ASSIGNED YOU TO IT.

And of course after I killed the fucking ghouls 5 billion kilometers from Sanctuary, I come back and she goes "OH BY THE WAY WE DECIDED TO SUPPORT THE MINUTEMEN. " Really, you decided to support THE GROUP THAT HAS CREATED THE CITY YOU FUCKING LIVE IN YOU DUMB BITCH
