They've done an amazing job with the random choirs / orchestras / singers in Syndicate. It's a shame none of those songs or tracks are part of the official OST - I'm hoping someone takes it upon themselves to rip out a compilation, or they release something similar to the "Sea Shanties" as they did for Black Flag!

I'm really not that big a fan of classical/operatic/orchestral music, but it just fits so damned perfectly with this game for some reason.

Meh, the repetitiveness is still too much. The least thing they could've done was make the freedom missions/side missions, less the same/more diverse, besides having the default kidnap/free/take over etc ones.

The more I play the more I think Unity was better. This game is way too easy, there's no reason to use stealth since you can easily take on a dozen guys in combat and you can carry a shitload of bullets and knives. The graphics are also a lot worse than Unity (though performance is definitely improved.) I don't really like the main characters either, they barely have any backstory and they feel more like random street thugs than assassins.

I liked the aesthetics better in Unity but Syndicate hasn't been too bad so far though it is a tad too easy as mentioned a few times already and the story is a bit disconnected plus there's little to no actual backstory on these twin assassin's.

EDIT: Unity used lights and effects to make it a bit exaggerated with strong light bloom and very heavy tones of blue and yellow, artistic rather than realistic whereas Syndicate has more muted colors and a colder palette or how to say, a bit more like you'd expect it would look like in reality.
(Though they still use the more artsy visual style in cutscenes with stronger lights and heavy DOF and such.)

EDIT: That and this games rendition of 1850 - 1900's London is a bit boring compared to 1700 - 1800's Paris as depicted in Unity. Razz
(Less clutter on the streets and much less NPC crowds too though part of it has been replaced by a very constant heavy carriage traffic on the streets.)

EDIT:

Unity

(Please scroll down at least a bit below the first couple of rows highlighting various graphical glitches. Razz )

That Aegis armor.
All that time wasted on finding those music boxes only to be given the worst looking armor in the game that ONLY fits on Evie

The combat still sucks, the grappling hook makes climbing effortless (in a bad way), graphics are worse than in Unity, story was written by a bunch of monkeys with wooden letter blocks.

It's still better than I expected though Laughing

The only way to advance in level is spending skill points, gaining some 99 or so skillpoints (I think you need that or just a bit over 100 to max all skills and reach level 10) by itself won't advance your level until you start spending them. Smile
(It also tells you how many skill points you need to reach the next level.)

AC saga has 3 bad things:
1) Abstergo as a factor which connects each of games. To be honest, everytime i see Abstergo cuts storyline of each game i feel like i would like to skip it all till next story's milestone. sad, but imho it should be leaded in different way.
2) unused potential. except AC2 all other games didnt use whole potential of an era. AC2 was splitted to few parts which gave a feeling that "story continues". other games gave you feeling that there should be alot more to tell. i remember next parts, in North America and in "Pirate World". i loved them but i felt that they could be continue with next DLC's, updates or even parts. sadly Independance Day of USofA has been cut to minimum.
3) I've noticed that in every AC game, our hero is clothed in special way. Imho its stands out of crowd. how is that possible that ASSASSIN is so distinguish? i believe that our main objective should be to craft a disguise which makes us 1 of 1000 same people who wander streets of each part of game. And now? i started to play AC:S. i completed starting scenes and now im starting to learn Londinum. after a looooooooooooong fly of my sister i found myself recognized by a gang of (#*$#@( - to be honest till now i recognized that bad guys too, but im curious why do i have to be a guy which should be recognized instanty just because of disguise?

btw i found myself happy to see that my 4y old pc with ati 7850 and an old phenom could run this game smoothly with medium settings at 720p. even if option's prediction said that im lact of gpu's memory

I don't know how this is possible, but they managed to make an easy game even easier. It's so horribly easy now, damn. I don't like London that much, Paris looked so fantastic (even though it ran like shit). The Abstergo bullshit is going nowhere now, the story is getting idiotic. I guess this is the last AC game I have tried, they killed AC and FC for me. Fucking useless twats. I really like these two game series, but the yearly releases ruined both for me. Fuck you Ubisoft and fuck your business ethics.

Meh I don't think I'll be able to finish. First impressions were positive but the lack of difficulty really ruins it. Also they haven't really captured the London atmosphere the way Unity did Paris. Also, while I like the protagonists the story is a disjointed mess. I just don't care about it. Shame really because I really like some aspects of the game but as always with AC most of the potentical is wasted.

For the last two sequences I've had 4 CTDs, 2 infinite loading screens and once where the whole world turned completely white except for the subtitles.

And then the ending itself Vomit
Who keeps writing that shit? Just pull the fucking magic scarf from his neck for fucks sake >_>
And keeping the key to the vault in plain sight of EVERYBODY including the main villain. I stopped playing and clapped for 2 solid minutes at the sheer stupidity of the character.

Also, there's a database entry with talk about renaming the Assassin Brotherhood into SISTERHOOD. I kid you not.
And a corgi named Desmond.

Glad the writing staff had their priorities straight.
Feel dirty even though I got the game for free.

Yep, the main reasons (especially the London looking bad) why I decided I wouldn't buy/play this a long time ago. It was made very obvious with the early trailers.

You have to get her to her destination before the conversation is over, figure out where 10 downing street is, mark it on the map, and don't fight the enemies.

Just get on the carriage and get there as fast as possible
