Also I "finished" and already uninstalled the game. Can't wait for the mods to come out to bring some end-game
Institute spoilers:
Spoiler: | So I'm the fucking DIRECTOR OF THE INSTITUTE and yet I'm the same errand boy as ever - a fucking scientist sends ME out to "collect supermutant samples" or "kill ghouls in this place"? Are you shitting me? The best part is, there's a dialogue option to say "why don't you sent a courser there to do this shit", and the quest giver just goes "yeah well... they're pretty busy now, I guess?"
And there are no cool missions for retrieval of synths like there was in the main Institute questline where you say a phrase and a Synth just shuts down, that was a really awesome moment.
Some mod should just bring sending Coursers out on missions, beign able to assign your science team to develop prototype weapons etc. You know, the stuff that the FUCKING DIRECTOR would do. I never saw fucking Father outside killing supermutants and ghouls because some fucker in a lab outfit told him so.
So much potential. |

Clearly he did that.
Spoiler: |
And that's how he got the cancer.
|
All Institute directors clearly need to be out there doing things in the field. Just like a Minuteman General who is the only active Minuteman and everyone else is just an honorary Minuteman.

Just finished it too. Took me about 121 hours, according to the ingame timer.
I did most sidequests i found. According to the achievement list i miss 4 "real" sidequest missions. I guess those are for the other factions.
Went with the Institue, because Terminators = best. The ending was crap.
And Shaun:
Spoiler: | What an idiotic twist
Father: I am your son.
 u wot m8
When the fucker died i couldn't care less. |
Still with all those problems in this game, considering the amount of playtime i got out of this, i rate it 7.5/10.
Uninstalling too now. Probably will reinstall sometime next year, when hopefully some cool mods and DLCs are out.

I'm only 31 hours in and get to Vault 81 and men, that place just made me realize how much of a missed opportunity this game is.
Spoiler: | This place just asked for some evil choices like releasing the diseases, or overdosing the junkie guy. Or to persuade the overseer to let people of the vault out... |
I wish someone else was responsible for the story and quests.

Huh, I'm nearing 50 hours myself and I thought I spent a bit too much time with the PC playing games, well I'm sure there's people out there with even more playtime too.

Stopped playing after 20 hours, not sure im coming back...Since the story seems to be average at best I know exactly how I will psychologicaly react to this game if I get close to the end (realizing ive spent most of my time chasing new items for a purpose that doesnt seem to be worth it and getting the dreaded feeling of being hollow inside ) ... Im getting too old for this kind of main stream games.
