Almost every uniformed military on Earth still has a chaplain corps. Just because you have a chaplain corps doesn't mean your government isn't secular. They have chaplains of all types, not just christian.

No, the connection is that in the real world most people are still religious in some way so the military is required to have chaplains of all faiths for the troops that believe in that shit. That way they can praise allah or masterbate to Jesus wherever they are.

It sounds more like they want people to be religious and fight for their god... patriotism and religion are two sides of the same shit, both great at keeping people under control.

Yes, the military is required to provide for both the physical health, and mental health needs of their troops. For some people religion is important to their mental/emotional health. And by some people I mean most of the world still. I don't need it, but I'm also not being a dumbass by sticking my head in the sand and pretending that it isn't an important part of people's life.

BTW they are required to provide for every religion so even though I'm atheist when I was in the military I marked "Jedi" on my paperwork so if I got killed they'd have to pay to send a Jedi Master out there to properly send my body to the force. Laughing

It's more to do with the right to exercise their religion and in a way they also are used as psychologists on the battleground.

Even in the Belgium army we have: Priests, Imams, rabbis, humanists,...
And you can't say we are a religious bunch or even pushing that agenda. Smile

I do feel uneasy when I see in some armies the occasional 'god this god that nonsense. Bit like when politicians in the US start to talk about it.

Our perspectives will all differ though, I'm from a country where religions is pretty much dead outside the traditional holidays. While I sometimes forget others still live in countries where religion is still important.

Anywho... while an interesting topic it is indeed not gamergate so I'll shut up now unless we make our own topic

When it comes down to it, many SJWs post and say stuff that they know won't be criticized in their little circle of fellow SJWs but it was clear that there were many anti-SJWs in that room so of course she had to back peddal because no way she could sell her more extreme views in that room - the big outraged gasp was evidence of that.

The problem is that once this debate is over, this woman will go back to being demeaning to men. She didn't even truly address the true issue of many of the questions: why do feminists only focus on the female negatives? Why doesn't male circumcision get a mention? How can you say "okay many guys work hard and bad jobs that women wouldn't want" and then still act as if the pay gap is real and a male privilege? It's mostly indie devs but it still explains a great deal - too many of these indie games are ludicrously "artsy" but when you got such stuck-up rich-kid people behind them it's no small wonder!

And yes, that guy was right: the SJW movement does strongly feel like a cult in many ways because it defies logic, they ignore evidence and hold their belief no matter what tells them otherwise.

Heck, please explain to me how a Safe Space can even work when it makes so many people hugely uncomfortable because they feel like they can't say anything without offending anyone? Because it seems to me that in order to make minorities feel comfortable the majority has to feel uncomfortable - kinda beats the point, doesn't it?
