Yeah, I noticed that too. They seem to be having a harder and harder time with explaining why exactly can't he just rollerstomp over pretty much everyone he meets. That chick in last episode was a very visible case of this.
i wrote a big-ass post, but no idea where the fuck it went...
the gist was that its getting a bit annoying how the flash handles encounters. He's just too powerful a characters to run a show on, because they need to keep coming up with ever more contrived reasons as to why he cant end fights instantly.. how hard is it for someone that fast to find a blindside.. just run around and punch her in the head before she can even react... or i dunno, throw a lightning bolt at her... he can do that now, apparently... remember? because he sure conveniently doesnt... forgets about lightning, forgets about super speed, instead runs around in circles so fast that she gets confused... meanwhile the chick does her ground light attack once... works really well... then all of a sudden forgets its effective...
i love the writers batshit science stuff... thats a hoot.. but they need to up their game on explaining why barry cant just use his powers to end fights in 5 seconds... its becoming tiresome, this conveniently forgetting he has super speed, or the most basic of tactics...
Pretty much this but they did the same with Reverse Flash and then both Ronnie and Flash would be dead in less than 5 seconds, the end
Yeah it's almost consistently worse (exception: last episode's wasn't that bad IMO) and it's unfortunate because it's the same bunch of writers that wrote S1.

it is a bit sad, maybe they should say the powers use the body's energy reserve up like using muscles, so they can only use them for so long and some actions are harder because of the energy it uses.
The night is dark and the road is long. Come on dead men, return to your homes.
When "could care less" makes it from to the screen you know the writers have been lazy this season.
Good episode if not overeager to charm us with its comedic bits.

They're still doing somewhat fine with the overarching plot, but the details and all kinds of bits and pieces tend to be wrong, yeah. There are some episodes I really liked, though. This one was more or less solid too.
Spoiler:
I kinda think Zoom might just be Earth 2 Barry Or maybe his father, obssessed over speed after loosing his wife and kid. He's played by a different actor, but who knows - might just be to throw the viewers off the trail
No need for spoiler tags if it's our speculation about who Zoom is instead of actual spoilers.
I believe it will be his father yeah. Which is the reason they removed him from the plot so early. To surprise us.
They might even do an episode that reveals the 90s series is canon but took place in another Earth (the Trickster episode last season hinted as much).

what's with the "tell everybody my secret identity except my girlfriend" routine they do in all these superhero shows?
In Flash it becomes even more absurd as it seems almost all his enemies knows his identity by now anyway

This show would've been great without all the bullshit drama and convenient stupidity of the characters. What a shame. Hopefully one day someone will create a proper superhero TV show.
Next one is the Arrow crossover which seems to set up Legends of Tomorrow for good. The crossover continues the next day on ep8 of Arrow. Promo shows Vandal Savage, the main villain of Legends of Tomorrow, plus other stuff:
However these two episodes don't air until December 1 and 2 respectively.

1: grodd. grodd is a great sidekick, but a really really dull main villain. he just mind controls everyone, and then you use earplugs to block it, and then hes a mini-hulk. i just dont find him interesting as anything other than a mysterious figure behind the veil... to that end, i was very glad at how the show ended.
2: i was REALLY.. REALLY (rather naively, clearly) hoping that the writers would play up his being disable, and do something interesting with it.. but no... just bring on dad, get him to give barry the shoulder-punch, the 'buck up, kiddo, errything'll be fine' speech, and then bam.. status quo resumed, all within a single ep. They didnt even REALLY address his city-wide humiliation (but they'd fucking better well deal with it next ep!!!).
Im kinda digging his relationship thingy with the detective lady.. i think shes the most interesting chick currently on the show... no idea why he wont tell her hes the flash. seems a bit unfair since everyone else in the city already knows... i think barry's being a bit of a dick about it, to be honest Or maybe its a trust exercise. she already knows, and shes just waiting for him to admit it gorrdammn women and their mind games!!
...you know me.. i love this show, i think its a blast, and all its stupidity i find to be actually quite charming.
but that was hands down the worst flash ep in recent memory. it was so cringeworthy, so frustratingly annoying, so insultingly dumb, so badly acted, so lazily written and for all its action, actually kinda boring.
ugh. cant wait until tomorrows arrow ep is done, so that our regular scheduled broadcast can return, and we move away from this shitty magic story and hawkgirl bullshit.
edit !!! the choreography of Team Arrow is the worst I've seen in 4 seasons of Arrow. !!!

Yeah, that was a pretty bad episode. I hope the 2nd part in Arrow tonight will magically be better.

Honestly, if that's the level of quality we can expect from "Legends of Tommorow", then I think I'll skip that one It was mindnumbingly cringeworthy and the worst part is that they managed to totally fuck up a really, really cool DC villain He's just... bad. And not in a good way either His lines felt like they were written by an 8-year old kid playing with action figurines.
Haven't seen last Arrow yet, but I'm not very hopeful.
That was beautiful. Flash is back in the saddle, that's was great! Fuckin' eyeball reflection magnify enhance nonsense, crazy mumbo jumbo science magic silliness with the bomb stuff... Flash pulling new powers out of his ass that he'll have forgotten about next week (swirly-arm powered jet engines, biatch!!), and best of all, more trickster! This is exactly what I needed to wash the sewage aftertaste out of my mouth that last weeks episodes left.
Great episode!! It's the kind of cheesetrash I love about the Flash AND with some great emotional moments and acting by Joe. One of the best episodes of this season!

So Joe (or rather his actor) can actually act! He was so hillariously terribad in some parts of season 1 I wouldn't have guessed I agree, though, the episode was really good.
