Very spot on review. I agree with him, this is the best online fps experience to have been released in the last couple of years But I also agree that they could have priced it lower, considering there's no story/campaign.
I think the price is right for an AAA title, I mean look at SW:BF...
Enjoying it alot. Can't stand CS Go/Source and this one really suits my wallbanging needs.
*EDIT* The bad things about this game, the matchmaking mostly and the seemingly shitty netcode are annoying though. Gameplay itself seems pretty solid and diverse since no played round feels the same.
Yeah, spot on.
A game that has this fast TTK, needs better servers. I'm on an 100/100 and the best ping I've got is like 80-90.
Soooo is it worth It ??? I'm still on the fence about this one. Steam reviews seems to be great but not alot of good reviews on metacritics....
The game is a great multiplayer experience in itself. Most of the reviews gave it 75% based on the amount of content you get for the steep price (which includes not having a real singleplayer) even though the great majority of them thought it was the best multiplayer game of the year, which is a valid concern. But I personally think that the immense replayability and variability this offers makes up for it. That and that the gold edition only cost me 40 bucks
Got it on cd keys for around 25 euros on launch, it is my currently most played game, i enjoy it a lot, even though it is not as hardcore as the oldschool games, it does have that nostalgic feeling that your playing one of those old games..
The multiplayer is great, the classes feel great, breaking into places feels really well done, this has been attempted in a lot of games, but imo, this is the first time in a game that i really feel like im making a real effort to breach/defend a place.. it has a great feeling to it.
All the gadgets and gameplay mechanics are not gimmicks, they serv a purpose and can be used im different combinations.
A map can be played multiple times and you stil find new ways to do stuff or workarounds, this is something that has been missing since forever in games..
I would even say that, even without a SP campaign, this game is worth full price, you will get the hours to justified it, thats if, you like the game, like i do, i would not regret getting it for 60, but i got it for 25, wich is a steal, it doesnt realy matter in the end if this had a campaign or not, the mp is well worth and is the main focus of the gameplay, not killing some AI..and that is all really well done, the downfall of the game is some lag from time to time, but its not too bad..
I think I would probably go for it if I can find the game for less than 30€.
Too bad there are not cheap keys any more for this game, maybe during Xmas sale.
Love the game - but I would like more weapons avaible to pick from on each Attacker/Defender. I would also like an option to play Attacker/Defender in any gamemode. Atm I dont play much defender at all (Talking bout Terror Hunt modes)
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
you can also try it on tunngle, there are many people playing it
you could but then you would be playing with cheating fuckers that get no punishment.
Is there any anti-cheat implemented in the retail game? I ask, because I broke down and grabbed a key for this (2 of my buddies were playing), and we had one round where a guy on the enemy team went 15-0. We lost three matches, and ONE enemy got every single kill on us. Pretty sure he was cheating just fine.

Why the fuck do you need to rematch with other people after each fucking map?
It keeps you with the people on YOUR team, and matches you against a new enemy team. What's wrong with that? Why would you want to keep playing against the same team over and over?

Cause half the time it takes forever to find someone else with people from you team quit
Finally managed to test this and the game felt damn good. Slow and very atmospheric. It's so cool to sit and wait in the kitchen while you can hear the grandades around the building.
If there are some european humperz playing this add me on Uplay (escaliburr) if you need some teammates.
