Looks more like a fan movie or something, better not to expect too much from it.

Yup, judging by the quality it really looked like fan crap. 
That being said: wouldn't have minded a proper knight rider with old hoff. |

An action movie based on cars and scifi technology and AI, of a famous and not milked franchise.
Wtf has Hollywood been doing all this time? This is also low budget, so ... WTF. I thought they liked money? Why doesn't a big studio take this on?
The series sucked, I guess that's a reason for it to be abandoned. I mean the newer series with the teen model wannabes or whatever. And the gayass cars.

still hoping they had an idea a year ago and made that little vid with david and now they have got some other guys / a studio behind this idea. i dont think a little youtube project can afford the licenses

I think I must have been the only one who liked that new series a few years ago. I wish they had made a season 2.
