Very Happy Crying or Very sad
"We've spared no expense" Josh - Manager of the Bribing Department Cool Face

Hope it doesn't have denuvo, so I can give it a try out of curiosity. Nothing can provide more adrenaline rush than ambushing sneezing enemies with the rhythmic pressing of contextual quick time events!

I finished the game on XBONE and as expected (like I said months ago and you guys wouldn't listen), there are only 1 or 2 QTE during the prologue (the 13min video you all saw) for the tutorial, but then no QTE at all, all cinematics are all playing by themselves afterwards !

So the only QTEs in this game are the PRESS X on the beginning, during the 1sec cinematic where she falls down the cliff. All long cinematics don't have any QTEs.

The game does have input prompts on the screen though (not sure you can disable this) during some situations (in game, not cinematics).

is it known what protection is going to have, denuvo ?
not going for the hype if i'm not gonna play it Sad
i'll avoid everything about this game if it does have it, so the need for lara passes faster

Not necessarily, it could be studio specific, not for all the games the publisher releases.
We know that avalanche use it for ex, but we don't know about crystal dynamics.
I fear for deus ex as well if I'm wrong.

In a sense Denuvo is good protection. It encourages me to stay patient and wait for all content to come out and buy it in a package on sale a year later and only then play it, when it's finally complete and in best state (usually). With yarr it's not necessarily that easy to resist to play it early, when you have everything at your disposal for free anytime.

the pseudo quick time events are a pain, the end boss especially. no real choices there even more annoying than the old boss fights.

I think we settled in to say that QTE are only input prompts during cinematics, not gameplay. But that's prolly why you called them pseudo QTE.
Most games do have them nowadays though.

Anyway can't wait for you PC guys to try this game, it's really worth it.

I don't think it will use Denuvo because the help page about Denuvo doesn't exist (yet ?) for ROTTR... But maybe it's too early for it to exist, we'll see.

And yeah let's quote me, who cares about Harry. And yeah I told you so, so what ? At least I'm right Laughing

its good, could be better imho with more puzzles and less of the combat but I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy it the way it is.

It's a lot better and has many more puzzles.

I did most of the optional tombs since they were really enjoyable and improved Lara.

It's a mix between tomb raider underworld and tomb raider 2013.

You will like it, too bad it runs at 30 fps on xbone, surely the PC version will be much more enjoyable considering Nixxes ported it.
