The Revenant 6/10

A whole lot of good but sadly waaaaaaaaaaay too slow for my taste. Really felt dragged out in a lot of places. Sure the shots were nice, but after a while it just made me go: "Get on with it" Razz

Only reason I feel like I should give it a seven is because it's in the company of worse done films but eh... they were more entertaining on a whole.

Pitty, read some up on the Glass story and seems it was even better/spectacular than the script they put out.

Heat 9/10

Dont ask me why I never watched this.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Anomalisa - 7/10, not what I expected. I thought it was going to be a comedy but it turned out to be some sort of psychological drama. Kind of odd watching fully nude stop-motion puppets having sex and

Sicario - 8/10

There's nothing to do, I will always have a soft spot for this genre of film. Perhaps not memorable in the narrative department (rather 'traditional', so to speak), but what made it memorable for me is the fantastic cinematography/lighting, the lack of unnecessary hollyuhmerikanisms, the constant sense of threat, body language often says more than a thousands words and good ol' Benicio knows that. Same for Emily Blunt's character, like a fish out of water, but on purpose (who can blame her), I found the final result to be definitely believable.

Sicario...

watching it right now. First guy that gets shot has a bullet wound in his face and holds the shotgun in his left hand when he is lying dead on the floor. Closeup 2 seconds later and no face wound and only right hand touching the weapon Mad

Finished it. 8/10

Would've been easily 9/10 if it had stayed like the first half Smile

The cinematography was absolutely fantastic!

Saw the final Hunger Games, meeehhh the pacing was off, it had some boring moments and we got some low budget action scenes while there was supposedly a fucking war going on. Tsk tsk tsk.

Some stupid romance and scenes that dragged on. Plot was serviceable but the ending also dragged on needlessly. Acting was generally meh, the cinema was antsy and chattery at the end, me and my friends included.

Itl;dr expected more of a fucking action spectacle, got some mediocre low budget scenes interspersed with boredom.

Watched sicario, revenant, martian, cartel land, few eps of narcos, bone tomahawk (lol), lobster, love, youth, and some other medicore movies I cant even remember now.

sicario is bland, fails to create tension, revenant/martian is the same story told again and again, with too many pointless dreamy scenes in revenant making it too long without a purpose. bone tomahawk is some kind of joke movie (boring as fuck, with 0 tension) with absurdly gory few scenes, wtf. love is gaspar noe (brilliant 'enter the void') attempt to make a porno, and he fails miserably just like von tried in nymphomaniac.

only 2 good movies are - youth, and suprisingly - the lobster - took me by suprise, everyone should watch it.

Gaspar's "Love" is really bad. Only the threesome scene is well done. "Enter The Void" was fantastic indeed.

Yep, only that one scene was decent. Overall its a bullshit movie. I enjoyed his Carne, Seul contre tous and Enter the void (brilliant movie) but Love is some serious piece of shit.

Oh, and The Visit - what a fucking piece of shit, watched some shamamammalans fanboy YT review of this crap and went to the cinema to watch this - what a mistake. Moreover, literally 5 minutes before the end of the movie there was a fire alarm and everyone was forced to leave the cinema lol. It was something small at the other end of the building and people could return to finish the movie after 15-20 mins, obviously went home, fuck that movie. Later on when decenet copy came out I downloaded it just to watch the ending, oh boy so glad I went home and didnt stay there any longer waiting for that shitty ending Very Happy

Straight Outta Compton: 6/10

It was produced very well but in the end it was just like.. look we come out the hood, talk tough, these guys were assholes and these guys were assholes too but those ones were the nice assholes. Oh and there was 2pac and snoop dogg... Solid movie, but I guess I'm not the target audience. If you are a fan of rap music you'll probably love seeing your stars doing something.

Wow, that was boring.

Any good faced paced movies to watch? The above one was quite slow. Almost dozed off during first 30 minutes.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Legend 7/10

Tom Hardy was great, and at times you're really seeing two different people instead of the actor. Really good performance, in particular the crazy Kray Very Happy
Movie itself is ok, not bad, but nothing special compared to other crime movies. Nothing really memorable, but entertaining still. Could have been an extra long episode of Peaky Blinders, but with twins.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit - 7/10

I was surprised with how good the technical aspects still hold up and with how much less good I found the film to be compared to the last time I saw it over a decade ago..
