It's an expansion, it's not a new game, argument invalid (return=doh) If nothing else pops up over the course of March to November, Deus Ex it is.

Now if you don't mind, I'll let you wait for Cyberpunk in a few years for a new GOTY contender Laughing

Hard to decide between Torment and Deus EX:MD. Why? Because both are pretty different games, that imo, cant be compared.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

There is no way Kingdom Come: Deliverance is out in 2016. That's a pretty ambitious game.

Only Bloodlines 2 could have topped my interest instead of a Deus Ex game.
Deus Ex it is then for me. I have a bad feeling about Torment but it's still high on my list.

Since I can't really choose I'll just choose which I'm going to play not all of them are actually RPG but whatever:
Dark Souls III
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Kingdom Come: Deliverance
Mass Effect: Andromeda
The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine (+ hearts of stone first) Well technically not a game but an expansion.

+ Some others that I don't know and will see I guess.

If it's good:
The Technomancer
ELEX

Already played Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

witcher 3 dlc for me, because the first one didn't disappoint and i think this ones going to be even better. deus ex hr2 might have been an option, but then i remembered the first games utterly disapointing and lazy as fuck ending, and im kinda concerned about how this ones going to turn out...

and as for mass effect... dont even really consider that an rpg... its a cover shooter with a sprinkling of light leveling added :3

Between Deus Ex and Torment, I can' choose.

@Chiv: I know the ending problem with DE. The devs have said the game doesn't have that kind of ending this time around. It will be based on your choices throughout the game Fuck Yeah

1 and 2 are still amazing.

Blood and Wine shouldn't have been on that list, it's only an expansion Mad Now I had to chose it, because I want MORE of Witcher 3. But if Blood and Wine wouldn't have been on the list, my most awaited RPG 2016 is clearly Deus Ex.

Whoa Dragon's Dogma looks fun, but the flaws mentioned by Joe are pretty bad Laughing Will they overhaul those problems and graphics for a PC release?

Edit: Apparently some problems like fast travel and pawns were fixed and they also increased view distance, added god rays and higher textures. Nice! I can still see some enb/reshade/sweetfx requirement here and there, but overall this game seems to be fun! When Joe jumped on the Dragon and it took off, that was pretty epic Very Happy

Kingdom Come: Deliverance for me. It's something different and I like Dan Vavra and the philosophy behind his projects.

Close second is The Witcher III's second expansion.

Nice collection.
But i won't classify some of the games as RPG at all. For example: Bombshell, Banner Saga and probably the new Mass Effect.

Though i never read of Masquerada before. Looks interesting. Very Happy

Same here, I even wrote in the article that I'm having troubles putting Mass Effect on that list. Bombshell is some sort of hack & slash which is an RPG sub-genre.

Obviously DS3, it's the only modern non-indie series that offers a decent challenge but with a mechanic that makes it not boring to "repeat from the last checkpoint" a lot of times.

If the new Deux Ex can be called RPG, then Mass Effect is a RPG. Not that anyone have seen what Andromeda is like at all. But even if it is like ME3, I'd still call it RPG, just not a good one.
