					| One annoying problem i found with one of those weapon enchants, specifically the Holy Boon i think. I am playing a Ranger for now, and when that boon is activated, i can barely see where i am aiming, because there is a huge bright spot at the crosshair. O_O

					| It looks like choosing New Game deletes the current save, which means there's no way to try out different characters without losing everything. Why there's no option to pick different slave slots or profiles like in every other RPG ever made?

You can change your class at any time once you get to Gran Soren. There's also a barber where you can remake your appearance.

AND you can re-customize your character and main pawn by buying an item at the encampment.

Okay, I didn't know that. Just finished the escort mission, but didn't have the chance to look around the city yet. I like that the game has a certain Dark Souls vibe to it where you have to do more exploring and figure things out as you go along. I can see where the praise is coming from, but I hate having no control over your pawns and their actions, so you're just kind of hack 'n slashing away. Probably getting bored soon and simply stop playing like it happened with FF13 which had the similar sense of having no control crap going on - press A to win BS...

 AOE attacks work too.

I think FOV is OK. I'd say I'm pretty FOV sensitive and I don't have a problem with FOV in this game.

PS I've finally got Bollide and Maelstrom.. fantastic spells
And I had a pretty intense fight with a chimera and a flying tall dude , I have no idea who it was.it was dark and I couldn't see as he was always keeping distance . a lich, perhaps? I was fighting at night and at first I didn't realize there were two tough mobs. It was only when I got silenced lol I noticed the second son of the bitch
Anyways, I'm loving the game so far. I didn't even bother doing "main" quests, just explored the world. Yesterday I stumbled across a band of angry feminists who attack you on sight if you have a male in your group lol. However you can disguise your male companions as females making them wear certain clothes and then you can get a quest from these bitches

					| I just beat what I thought was the last boss but the game kept going, now there's some new content and changes to the world. I guess there's now a "mega dungeon" with a bunch of new enemies and bosses (not Bitterblack Isle which I haven't even been to yet).

 Cool

I haven't even finished doing Stage 1 main quests (and quite a few of side quests). I've been just roaming around, exploring, fighting mobs, leveling my vocations (got my sorc's and tank's vocations to lvl 10 and started leveling second vocations to get additional augments). I'm currently lvl 30.

Tbh I don't get why certain escorting quest is available only before entering the capital and if you don't take it before that you are screwed. . It requires you to escort a dude through areas that are swarming with tough high level enemies, lots of them You can't really properly escort the dude fighting all of them, you''ll just get obliterated. Of course, you can just sprint past mobs to the shadow fort or whatever it is called but then you'll most likely fail ambush quest./.. And who knows how many other quests like this DDDA has.
 |

I think not all escort quests are worth taking, look at the reward, gold and experience you get enough by regular fights in the world, but important are quests where you get special items (weapons/armor) you can not find in the world, for example this first quest to escort the knight who served as a trainer in the first fortress is recommended, because you get one of the best early two-handed swords.

I was not sure if I would like that system that you can change your "career" simply in the tavern, but after playing a lot at the weekend I think it makes sense, because your success in this game is very much depending on your equipment. Since there are no level-, but only class-restrictions for items a simple find of a very good sword/shield/bow/dagger may change your combat chances completely if you switch to another career.
I started as a ranger and it did work well in the beginning but soon fighting big or dangerous monsters became exhausting because too less damage was dealt by daggers and bow, after I got the first good two-handed sword I switched to fighter and it was almost like playing a completely different game. cyclops, ogres, chimeras... all went down, where I struggled before very much.
Now I got a good magic shield and a one-handed magic flame-mace and I am going to switch to the mystic knight class (lev. 37).

Since passive skills are kept for every class, but active skills only for the actual class, you can take these damage-reducing lev. 1 skills from the knight and the fighter after switching, add them to your skill list and continue with a different class.

Ths game is really a very postive surprise for me, I did not expect that, even with boring quests and dated graphics exploring the world, building your char/party and fighting is so much fun, it reminds me somehow of the old, late might+magic games (part 6/7/8 )

There are 3 permanent teleports scattered around the world (portcrystals) you can teleport to using ferrystones (they disappear after being used but you get the eternal ferrystone at the Gran Soren inn) and you can also find portable portcrystals that you can place anywhere in the world and teleport back to them.
