OK People! I got both Norton 2006 products to work with NO PROBLEM. They work!
For Symantec Norton Systemworks 2006 I had the Hotiso release and here is what you do(same goes with any working release of the NIS 06):
1-Mount and install the product with the Cd-key provided in the nfo file.
2-If you see no autorun screen you have to right-click on the cd driver and open to browse for the main setup file, if sitll you click the main setup file and it takes forever and nothing happens, you need to uninstall the previous products, say systemworks 2005.
3-Before rebooting, after installation, make sure you are disconnected preferably physically from the internet.
4-Reboot and follow the activation process to the phone activation.
5-Here put the ***** serial provided in the nfo file, this will give you about two thousand something days.
6-Click next, DONT CONNECT YOUR INTERNET YET. A screen appears for you to make an account in the "live update forum" the nfo was referring to. Just click try agian several times till the cancel option appears and then click cancel.
7-The liveupdate screen appears after probably some other screens and here you can reconnect to the internet to do the liveupdate.
That is all... Very Happy
Hope it works for you as it did for me..

Live update is working fine for me. I uninstalled my original of SystemWorks 2005 & Internet Securoty 2005, rebooted and installed both SystemWorks 2006 & Internet Security 2006. No problems what so ever. The only thing I'm bothered about is everyone having the same key(s). A keygen would be nice Smile

Regards...

What does your subscription status say?

NIS 2006 = 868 Days remaining
NSW 2006 = 868 Days remaining

And yes the Live Update works a treat Smile

no it's 100% true, Norton once made great products in the early nineties, but he sold his ass to Symantec and everything they touch or buy goes down the drain in no time Mad

Nope it aint! Once installed you will never ever get rid of it! Its a fucking disease. and sooner or later some part of it will stop workingl!
Its crap, i have tried pretty much all of their products and there is always and i mean always some problem with them. It might not show up right way but in like 9 months time the update engine fails or some shit like that! There are better alternatives than this junk out here!

ollax and whoknows are correct but the sheeple know the product I can't be bothered teaching them how to use a decent firewall a/v system and if it lasts 9 months they just come trotting back and I'll charge em for fixin it. I used to care and would give them the best program out there. They don't wanna know, they just want norton same as everyone else so I'll give them norton. Never charge for it but when it screws up as it always does I will charge them for a software rebuild.

Maybe someday people will recognise that spending 20 minutes checking out merchandizing claims at the start of a venture saves hours at the back end of it. Maybe that's pigshit just landed on the sidewalk. Help flyin pigs!
