I find the controls to be pretty good. Make sure you do not play on the useless 16:9 mode where you cannot see shit in front of you.
I'm almost done with the train..

I mentioned this in the Dragon's Dogma thread, but yes, MS is tweaking the new codec for restone builds. 11082's codec wouldn't play wmv files PERIOD for most games, now it seems (for the most part) to only affect Capcom games (Resident Evil and 0 remasters, Revelations 2, and Dragon's Dogma all having the same issue.)

It was necessary for me in REmake.. screw the suspense of seeing the door animation slowly play out, ain't got no time for that!
Gonna download everything tomorrow. I've never played the game, so an old-school RE in this day and age is a godsend, even with the traditionally abysmal dialogues and lolwut moments (a must!)

There's a wmvcore.dll in windows already, it's just bonked. Microsoft still has some kinks to work out. klite wont overrite anything that is already installed by the OS.
Luckily dropping the old wmvcore.dll from an older version of Windows into the main folder of the game allows that game to load that codec locally and solve the major issue.

if you play with 4:3 ratio on a 16:10 monitor you have again black bars on top and bottom like in re1 hd...omg..
this game needs again, a pan & scan and no door fix like with the previous game.

it's not a proper door fix, it just rushes the loading screen
a temporary pan & scan fix is to set your custom ratio in appdata/local/capcom/game folder/config

Depends.
If you play with the traditional tank controls these are digital so the keyboard is fantastic.
If you play with the updated analogue controls a controller is better.

Good ol' RE *sheds a tear*, always a pleasure..you can tell that the direction is cheap in this one but the fixed camera + tank controls and atmosphere make up for everything. Me likey
It's a good looking game too, especially the backgrounds which are definitely crisper and more detailed overall than the remastered REmake's ones.
Deep inside I hope the future Resident Evil 2 remake will retain such old-school structure (pretty much timeless, imo), but what do we know. All this teasing and they'll end up reimagining(tm) the game as a third pewer pew with contextual kung fu panda moves and visceral quick zombie events

Yeah, a RE 2/3 remastered remake would be awesome. Dunno how many times i played through those 2 just to get all the good stuff and game modes.
Now its time for a S Rank in Zero since i failed my no save run earlier today in wesker mode right before the end because of some damn frog who thought its a nice idea to swallow me -.-

And finished in 1.59 Hours (thx to no door animation) and including the no save run and no first aid sprays  Last battle was tough tho !

Definitely. Not even a page of posts/day on gaf. REmaster thread was more than 20(? 30?) pages/day on launch.
I hope they don't get disappointed by the sales before they port CVX! I'm sure they expected lower sales I just don't know how low they are. SteamSpy which I don't know if it can be trusted yet because the game was so recently released, reports about 40K owners, which isn't too bad given REmaster's lifetime owners are only 180K (a game which has been on sale many times and is much more popular).
As for me the reason I haven't played much is that I have little time.
