Heh, I wouldn't be too sure nowadays. Microsoft's inexhaustible bank account seems to be doing a good job of securing plenty of exclusives, whether timed or not, and Remedy are pretty much owned by them at this point. If we ever did get a Max Payne 4 odds are it would be an XBONE title first

game was really great but i was expecting some more play time. finished it in around 8-9 hours.
some cutscene was starting and i went on the toilet and after coming back the credits were already rolling. thought it would be atleast 14-15 hours play time but apperently i was wrong.
The game was good when YOu actually played it.
I like atmospheric games but this one went overboard with cutscenes on every doorway and every corner. And the story itself is not that great too...
but the shooting and physics were fantastic.

i agree way too much cutscenes but it seems like they used them as "loading screens" so atleast it was better then sitting infront of a black loading screen 20% of the time.
yes the story could have been better but it wasn't bad either. overall i was pretty happy with this and it had still a max payne feeling. i think they did the best they could with the character.

This game was unplayable for me. Cutscene interruption that I have never witnessed before and probably never will again, uneven difficulty and non-sensical slowmo mechanics/bar.
Unbelievably stupid gun inventory mechanics had mme stuck without ammo at one point and I uninstalled it.
The gunplay itself was excellent though. The graphics and performance as well.

Yeah it's true but I seriously implore you to finish the game.
Unfortunately, the best part of the game comes towards the end aka the "Airport shootout" which is one of the
most sublime shootouts of the last generation.
I'd go so far as to say that I want to reinstall the game just to play that specific portion of the game but this damn cockstar social saving system....

Yep. Tons and tons and tons times better. Whole trilogy (2 is my fav)
Although I enjoyed Max payne 3 very much, it was hard to replay it. And I could easily finish whole gow trilogy couple of times
(even plot in gow is better than kidney sellers in brazil or whatever)

I'm playing this again, and it's still brilliant. I'm not an FPS fan really, so I didn't play every new shooter released, this is the last great shooter I played. Where's Max Payne 4

That movie was fun. Not good but fun to watch.
Love Max Payne 1 and 2. Milestone in gaming and great games.

Ah I was hoping it'd be an actual conflict with Rockstar and the future of the series, not a view of the game itself from this writers perspective. Oh well, it was a entertaining read at least even if I don't agree with everything in the article.
I loved Max Payne 3... And I have yet to find a game similar to this one ever since.. Maybe Quantum Break (obviously) but I prefered Max Payne 3.. .Some stuff in Quantum break were derp (and it was full of vaseline on XBONE )
a good game with shitty story, wrong setting and so many unskippable cutscenes after every single fight that it's impossible to replay.
I loved new york missions and airport missions. I mean the game was good but for me the real ending to max payne is this secret in Alan Wake:
