Oh right. Well Im pretty sure I got the first episode around 4:30AM UK time yesterday and the 2nd episode a couple of hours earlier today.
Seemed quite graphic for an 8PM show too.
Good episode. I was expecting a continuation of the events from the first episode but it seems each will concentrate on a separate story. Not sure if I like that but its still good
Spoiler: | I quite like the flashback sequences. So past events explained that Mulder and Scully had a son together, he had alien DNA or was alien and was then eventually abducted? Was this all shown/explained in an earlier season as I dont recall it lol. |

I'm not satisfied. Too much stuff crammed into two episodes, little or no suspense, too much narrated or shown in advance. Dana is still a hottie tho.

They didn't age well at all, Mulder looks like a bum that partied with aliens for six days then reported to work for the seventh.

possible spoiler:
Spoiler: | how many noticed Kacey Rohl 'Abigail Hobbs' as one of the moms. i always felt 'hannibal' series had a xfile-esque vibe. people with very deliberate intent and good at hiding it. gillian anderson being hannibal's therapist was i believe quite fitting in there. |

The 'story' re-cap in the second half of episode 3 was good; especially the whole thing about needing to find a job, then hating the job and lying about his sex life...
made a little gif

Well hey, some of The X-Files best episodes were it's funny ones i.e. Humbug, Bad Blood, Dreamland 1+2, Small Potatoes, etc. No way they aren't gonna give us at least one installment of absolute hilarity. Anyways, that episode was AWESOME. I loved the scene in M&S motel room.
It's just a shame Spoiler: | Gillian was originally supposed to be wearing Mulder's New York Knicks T-shirt when she was sitting on the bed, but they had to change it after a legal technicality wasn't cleared in time |

Haha! That really was unexpected, in a very good way . Amusing and silly, yet thought provoking, I loved it. X-Files comedy is the best comedy xD

Well I can understand the mixed opinions regarding episode 3.
Spoiler: | Mulder has some fucking sharp pencils, dayum.
Also didnt he kick the 'I Want to Believe' poster in half in the first episode? So he bought a new one then before using it as a dartboard?
Mulder has the X-Files theme tune as his ringtone? Haha I have no idea what to make of that ...
As enjoyable as it was, it was still dumb. I like the reverse monster idea, thats pretty original but this did not feel like an episode of The X-Files. More aliens please! :/ |
