I am planning on buying a console for my birthday in another 1 month... Can u guys tell me which one is better and why? -> PS 2 or XBOX(not 360)

But you should buy the one that has the games you want.

The ps2 is better, no wait the xbox is better... this can go on for ever.
I bought a ps2 because i like the games it has more then the xbox games, its that simple.

As shabby said, look at the games and get the one that has more that you want. Most will agree that if a game is on both, the xbox usually does run it better.

on a gfx level xbox is the king. play a game like battlefront 2 on both systems and u'll see a huge difference. If you like FPS games xbox is the way to go. If you like rpgs and jap style platformers go with ps2. If you want a kick ass multimedia and games centre get an xbox and mod it. Nothing console wise from that generation comes close to an xbox in terms of functionality when modded. I'd say the xbox is the better of the two just because of the amount of things you can do with it. Plus ps2's can be retarded as to what media they'll run on. The dvd drive in an xbox is far far more robust. AAnd as for people who say if u have a pc u dont need an xbox thats complete asstalk because the number of games that come out for xbox to the number of games that come out for PC...huge difference. The PC is a dying gaming system atm
