Yeah I see what you mean, but for me I can't finish a game if I'm constantly switching between games. I just need to focus on one, max two games at once.

Everything since Far Cry 4, I guess.. XCOM 2 is the closest thing I might finish.
Rest everything like 1-2%. Play for 30 minutes, get bored, never touch. Sad

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

(too many; didn't count)

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

posting a back log is like showing you the whole universe. it's not hapening. it's an ever increasing, never ending list of new turning into old Laughing

a better question is, what games have you completed in this or past year Wink

130 games on PC and counting.
287 games to play and counting on older/newer consoles, even handheld games (PS Vita f.e.). Got hacked 360 and Wii(plays GC as well, which is nice) tho, legit PS3, PS4 and for the moment Wii-U till the exploit will be released anyway.

So many games, yet so few time to play. Wish I had like 20 games max., would be a lot easier to choose then.. But I guess I just wanna play a bit of everything. Might have to cut some games tho.. I just play what I want can't really decide in which order. Just pick one game and complete it, lol. I rarely play more then 2 games depending tho, can play a MP for a few hours tho for a change.

Way too many games on Steam and then there's the various emulators as well, thousands of games then I suppose?
(Though I am skipping most of the regional and hack variants of the emulator games, don't need to play Mario in a hundred different variants although some are quite good I admit. Very Happy )

EDIT: So do I stop time or do I learn the secrets of immortality?

If you want to finish your backlog, better stop time.

I have many games that i didn't finish, but i rarely finish games so i'm not really having a backlog.

Edit: If you know how to do it, please let me know Smile

Even if we do both we still won't finish it I'm afraid. Sad Razz

But yeah for me it's also in the thousands. Steam, Uplay, Origin, GoG, Emulators,...
I did become better at finishing games these past years so there is something positive at least.

Alright I see what you guys are meaning but what if we get more realistic and if you would write down 20+ game list with games that you want to finish and you see yourself finish in the next couple of years. I got billions of games that I didn't finish but this list I posted have games that I really want to finish this year (so I can delete them).

Also it would be cool to keep the list live so we can see your progress.

Sometimes when I'm really desperate to finish a game (that I'm really bored with but I want to finish it so I can delete it) I download a trainer and use god mode and rush through the game in couple of hours. But I only do this if I'm really bored with the game, you get the story from the game and sometimes that's the main part why we want to finish a game.

That's cool man! This is a short but very reasonable backlog list. You probably will finish both of these games before NFS and Division release.

Indeed Okay Laughing
I suffer from severe OCD, and feel the need to install pretty much everything even if I don't have the material time, the only limit is the HDD space!

First playthroughs, second, third ones, the situation is critical, I'm counting 80 games installed at the moment. I like to jump from game to game so I never get bored, but some playthroughs can last years this way Very Happy (I always end up completing them though, eventually, no matter their quality xD)

If we dial it down a bit...

Finish Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Black Ops 3 or whatever, it's still being regularly patched but it's probably almost fully MP only and DLC supportive by now, free up those 50+ GB.

Finish AC: Syndicate, Maharaja DLC should be out now so nothing left to wait for, free up another 50+ GB there.

Finish up Batman Arkham Knight, I actually have significant progress on this and no further updates or additions are likely planned so it's time for another 50+ GB to get freed. Razz
(Did manage to finish up Mortal Kombat X and Evil Within + DLC recently so that's a 100+ GB freed. )

Finished Just Cause 3 (For now) but still need to finish Mad Max.

...Get a third 8 TB HDD for the backlog for 2016. Very Happy
(And the remaining backlog from 198X-2015 that might still not be finished.)

EDIT: Not all of the second HDD's currently used storage space is for games though, have a growing library of quality Japanese animated art as well including classics such as the "Urotsukidoji" series, plus some almost normal stuff too. Razz

Uh huh...so that's what we're calling it now, are we? Rolling Eyes Very Happy

On a more on topic note - my backlog is actually at the lowest its ever been, and more or less consists of going back to games I've already beaten at release to try the DLC (although 9 times out of 10 I've discovered this to be an epic waste of time).

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry at this dilemma.

I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Alright managed to finish Batman AK. Downloaded a trainer, god mode on and rushed through the game. Man that game was boring but story was OK. (UNINSTALLED) It's so hard to finish games that you have gotten bored with usually those games make it to the backlog list. but the story was pretty good.

Next up Mad Max.
