Probably because retailers usually have a stock of these lying around, so until a new batch arrived, chances are, you would not get a key for The Division. So what Logitech did, they probably sent out a bunch of keys to specific retailers to give away for folks who ordered a specific product on the starting date.
This game will be dead within 3 months, there's nothing new or exciting about the single player campaign (if you can even all it that). Just another bland cover based 3rd person shooter (rpg?) with pretty visuals.
If the missions are anything like the beta, they look boring and un-inspired, all that detail in the game world is a waste if you don't have interactivity, puzzles etc.
All I see is take cover shoot, toss grenades, heal, move on , press a button to complete an objective.
Here's the real kicker though - Everyone from the beginging will want to go and play in "TEH DARK ZONE!!"
Max out your level and character with the best weapons, gadgets, grief other players until they rage quit due to all the bugs, exploits and hackers
Just don't see how this game can keep you entertained after a certain point, and that would be few weeks to one month tops for most no-lifers.
Not buying the hype.
The game is already dead. Not a single person in my friends list is playing this at the moment
I have the G910 which has the same switches, Romer-G, as the G810. These switches were designed to be quite similar to browns - which act as a compromise for gaming and typing - but as if they had o-rings, which makes them even quieter with an even shorter activation time. The G710+ (not the G710) has browns with o-rings and I have that keyboard as well, and the feel is similar. There are many reasons someone would want a quiet mechanical keyboard - it's nicer when streaming or doing VOIP - and gaming benefits from a shorter activation time if you have good finger control.
People talking about the Logitech keyboard unreliability most likely mean the G710/710+ series; I had keycaps break within a few months of usage. Logitech sent me an entire replacement kit for free and I even modded a few keys myself. One of the advantages of Romer-G is the superior lighting due to the switch design, which also makes the keycaps a bit more sturdy at the base. The caps themselves are molded which is better for gaming than typing. As mentioned they do offer a normal keycap replacement kit for $40. Some people actually like the "flat keyboard" design, too.
@Maxxify
Yea Logitech support for me was pretty good too.
Used a G700 mouse for ~2 years and now a G700s since ~1 year. As long as you still have warranty, they will quickly send a replacement for your faulty device. For me they even send a completely new mouse, because a button was faulty.
The build quality never was that good for me though, compared to the high price of their products. For example the G700 had wobbly side buttons, and now with the G700s the mouse wheel is wobbly. But i keep buying that mouse, because of their nice support (and because i can't find a good alternative to that mouse).

The G700(s) is a somewhat troubled mouse, so perhaps that is why they provide support for them so readily. Mine suffered from a double-clicking issue after just over a year of use, which is apparently pretty common on this one. They just sent me a new one pretty quick and now I have two of them.
I really like the mouse as well and couldn't find a better alternative either.
At least with that build quality you can keep riding the RMA wave until you get the successor model instead. Yay for free upgrades!
I had to use a Controller in the Beta too since some whack right-click lag issue has persisted throughout the gameplay. Then again, we raped most of the Server with Controller aim once we got the good gear
The problem is, that in this game auto aim is enabled for gamepads, or?
Means that people, that are somewhat good with a gamepad, might fuck the other people.
