Really this is going the wrong way.. Faking invoices.. C'mon, work for an hour and buy it normally, instead of faking invoices. Legit promotion use is fine.. but really, faking? Rolling Eyes

The main question is if they check directly with the shop/re-seller if the order/invoice is real, but I guess not. If they only check the company, order date etc. then it should be fine. Smile

I agree, you get lucky with finding new unused serials, that's borderline unethical but faking invoices lol, that's taking it a whole new level just to get free games. Laughing

I'm not saying faking doesn't work, Its just pathetic to do, and for what, a digital piece of compiled code. As I said, using the promotion normally is fine, thats where its for. Faking invoices screws up entire promotions and lateron they won't do it anymore because of this getting happened.

Well, depends on the point of view. When I bought my 980Ti back in summer 2015 there was no promotion at that time or any free game with the GPU (just a few days/weeks later the MGSV promotion appeared).
I am not taking an unused serial from someone else, I have my own...but yeah, I know what you mean.

Modifying an Invoice is considered forgery of documents in a lot of countries, not saying you will get into trouble but it is possible.

So can someone actually confirm how these promotions work? Are they(Gigabyte, Asus, whatever..) going to send the invoice or any other information directly to the seller/shop?
Or there is no communication between them before/after the promotion request is "approved".

I highly doubt they will communicate with the shop.
Just imagine the work they would have to do, with thousands of those receipts.

Though at least Gigabyte writes, that the review process takes 5-7 days. So who knows really.
But it's not like you lose anything anways. Just send several different invoices with different emails to maximize your chances. Cool Face

There are also several Invoice Generators, if you use Google.

The shop of the invoice must be located in one of the participating countries at least.

You can just read about all the infos for the Gigabyte promotion here:

Asus for me Bob Smug

Which means you have to click on the country you try to redeem, fill in the details and upload invoice ( that invoice should be from the country you redeem, me thinks ).

Why the fuck do you guys even care? Do you think they'll stop because of some "ethics-police"? Who says you haven't done something like this in your life before? I'm certainly not the one that would try this invoice trickery, but heck, you guys care so much you only seem to be mad about it others get the games. I find people with double standards even worse than the offenders.

So many double standards on both sides here. One side are pirates that yarr games if possible and now are playing the "ethic police" part when pirating is not really an option. On the other sides are people that don't care about ethic but are calling game shit, but they'll still try to get it for free. Very Happy Oh, moral and dillemas.
